Description

Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Enjoy watching the waves roll in as you sit on this direct beachfront balcony. This unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, swimming pool and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests.

Our stay was wonderful and the condo was very nice. The furniture needs updating and the stove broke during out last few days, but overall it was really nice to stay near the beach and to be able to hear the waves.

We loved everything about our stay at Sandpiper 16C! The condo was perfect for our family of 5. The girls loved the bedroom with the twin beds and our son was happy to sleep on the pullout couch bed. We loved being Oceanside with great views up and down the beach! We loved being just above the pool too! We enjoyed grilling out one afternoon. We would definitely come back and want the same condo!

Balcony was our favorite part and got a lot of use. Struggled with tv in living area. Couldn’t get volume to turn up. But spent little time watching tv. Pool heater was broke but luckily ocean was warm.

This was our first time in Gulf Shores and we hope to return! Bender Rentals was very easy to work with and just right down the road from the Sandpiper. They called us when the unit was ready and we were able to check in early. 16C was very clean and spacious and we really enjoyed our stay. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. The coffee maker was where you could make a pot of coffee or use pods. Everyone was so friendly and I like the fact that it was a smaller property. If you were at the pool or beach and forgot something in your room, it took you a few minutes to run and get it!! The heater on the pool wasn't working the last few days we were there so that was the only downside but overall I would give 5 stars on everything!!

I used to stay at the sandpiper with my family when I was younger, now I get to share it with my wife and kids! This well kept end unit is perfectly located on the beach with a large balcony to enjoy, The sandpiper isn’t anything fancy, but is perfectly laid out for groups and very affordable. The “splurge” to upgrade to an end unit is well worth the price!

Overall , very good vacation. Sandpiper 16C is a very nice condo with a great beach view. Everything we needed was in place at the condo. My only suggestion is that the Housekeepers could use some improvements on the basic cleaning of the condo.

We really enjoy Gulf Shores and we stay at the Sandpiper. It is an older facility but well maintained. And most of the units have been updated. We like the open walkways that allow socializing with others instead of individual balconies being secluded. We go with a huge group so that is a plus. The mattresses in our u it need updating though. And some of the pool loungers need replacing. The straps are breaking. Other than that it’s a great place.

We will book again soon for next year in this same unit. I enjoy GS so much that a plan to move, or spend much time, in the near future(retirement). Office staff are more than friendly and inviting. We had a great time and the pool was perfectly warm for the kids. The condo was in great shape and very clean. I only wish the master was off the deck instead of in the back.

I don't know if a Gulf Shores vacation could have been better!! The condo was exactly as described, fully stocked, very clean, and had a private deck on the beach. I cannot say enough good about it!! Plus, Bender Realty is the absolute best realty company to work with, they are so accommodating, answer all questions, and are about the nicest/most patient people I have ever met in my life.

We had a wonderful time in Gulf Shores with our daughter and grandson. The Sandpiper is located close to everything we wanted to do or see. The unit was well maintained and clean, as were all the grounds. We like to make a big breakfast to gear up for a day at the beach; however, there was only a small/medium skillet available. Other than this minor inconvenience our week was great!!

Bender Realty employees are top notch, very friendly and accommodating. This is our second stay at the Sandpiper and we think it is the best place to stay in Gulf Shores. The atmosphere is family-friendly, relaxed and homey. The condos are nice and for the most part include everything you would need to feel at home. The beach area and pool are very nice.

Had another nice stay at beautiful Sandpiper 16-C ,it was clean and well stocked. Thank you to Bender Realty ( Alice) for your help in booking this year and next years visit . May I just suggest if possible to have the spraying for bug control when the Condo is not occupied . It was sprayed during our visit we were out at the time, but was very apparent with the odor when we returned . Thank you ,See you next year

We were pleased with acvommodations. We found our unit well decorated, comfortable and clean. We did not have any problems during our stay. This complex seemed to be favored by families from grandparents to grandchildren.

This was our 2nd stay at Sand Piper in Gulf Shores and we were very pleased with it.We do not care for the huge high rises, so the this 3 story condo was more our style.Location is great, our condo was clean & very well stocked with everything. We would highly recommend to friends & family, and hope to return again next year! They were doing some caulking & painting of the exterior & we felt that should have been done in the early Spring or the Fall! Bender Realty was great to work with & handled everything in a professional way.

Second year at sandpiper, love the location, literally beachfront with 16C ! You couldn't ever get tired of a view like that. We like that it's not a high rise. It's convenient to everything, and lots do along with food places everywhere and groceries. ( small ones and Walmart, Publix, Winn Dixie) from trinket stores to Tanger outlet. Try a great burglar at Bahama Bobs , or a juicy ribeye at Steamers ,Lou Lou's has music playing all through your meal ,great fish sandwich! Our condo was clean . We like that there's an elevator if you need one and that there's a washer and dryer . Everything you need,grills outside also. Cooking pans were pretty worn out though. Loved the master bath! Beds on the harder side. Family atmosphere very relaxed! Can't say enough about Bender, from start of booking to end of vacation ,helpful, nice friendly staff. Thank you!

We stayed in 16C for a week, and we celebrated our youngest daughter's 1st bday while there. The condo is very nice and well-decorated! Bender was prompt in getting us a new blender when we discovered that the one there didn't work. Our 3 year old loved the pool, and of course we all loved the beach and the view from our windows! It should be noted that the balcony is not covered, so since we don't sunbathe, it was really only useful to us during the early morning and evening (great view of the stars). Beachfront balconies on lower floors are covered and have swings. Also, the balcony is off the room w twin beds (which for us was the kids' room), so we didn't get to enjoy it as much at night as we'd have liked. Of course, not everyone has small children, but I just thought it should be noted, since I was under the impression before we arrived that the balcony was off the main living space. Thanks for a great stay!

We went to Gulf Shores to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary. Bender Realty was very helpful, not only in making the reservation but also making sure that we were taken care of. The unit was just what we expected, gulf front, great views and in great shape. Only three of the units in the complex were occupied during our stay, so it was almost like having the entire complex to ourselves. We would highly recommend Bender Realty and the Sandpiper complex for a fantastic vacation/getaway/special occasion.

Except for the bed in the Master which was a little hard for our taste and a very bad timed Hurricane Isaac, our stay at the Sandpiper (16C) couldn't have been more perfect. Not only were the facilities and location fantastic, but the folks at Benders and the locals were very friendly and helpful (especially during the evacuation). We tried several beachfront restaurants in the area and never had a bad meal. Evening entertainment ranged from a wonderful musician playing on a beachfront deck to rock n roll on the Flora-Bama line. Oh, yeah...we'll be back :) Thanks, Alice!

We couldn't have been more pleased with the condo we rented at The Sandpiper, unit 16C. I lucked out and was able to get this end, top floor unit due to a last minute cancelation. The condo was recently redone with ceramic tile floors, all new full kitchen, 2 luxurious bathrooms and the most incredible balcony directly on the beach with enough room for our entire family to sit out and relax in the evenings. The managment is very kind, professional and helpful and are very attentive to all their guest. The only complaint I have is that our time there went by way too fast. The price was very reasonalbe and I can't wait to come back.

The unit 16c is beautifully decorated and updated. Each year the owners have changed the condo with some kind of improvement. There is a new kitchen with new appliances, new master and guest bathrooms, and new flooring throughout. This is a condo that the owners love to live in, as well as rent out to guests. It is truly "the best of the best".

The accommodations were great and the view of the beach was also great. Everything was clean and kitchen was vey well stocked. The AC could use an upgrade. It didn't seem to be able to keep up with the hot daytime hours. But it wasn't a serious issue.
We will be back and hope to get the same condo.

This was our 11th stay at Sandpiper and the facility and Bender Realty are always great.
Only issue is that the air conditioner in 16C needs updating-----it can not keep up with the heat of the summer; and being on the top floor and at the end of the unit, makes it noticeably hot in the condo by the afternoon.
Love the remodeling of the unit----top notch.

We truly enjoyed ourselves and the complete atmosphere of the entire area. Perfect Condo, we want to come back again in a couple of years and we all want to be in this same condo. I do have a few things that should probably be briught to someones attention. The rubber seal on the refrigerator was coming off and there was a leak under the sink in the hall bathroom, there was a bucket under there to catch the water, I added a wash cloth to soak up the puddle of water I found. I am a housekeeping supervisor in our local hospital and I was not impressed with cleanliness of the condo. It may be just my profession that I have a tendency to notice things along that line, but I think someone needs to do a follow-up after the housekeeper has cleaned the condo. It could use a spring cleaning. My family kept yelling at me when they found me cleaning, it is just in my blood when I see dirt it won't stay there for long.
Otherwise once again perfect location and an all around awesome place.

We've stayed at the Sandpiper many times but haven't been there in 7 or 8 years. The unit was very nice. We put a towel down in the bedroom adjacent to the deck because the blowing rain seemed to be coming in along the floor. We really appreciated the updated stainless kitchen and living area. The bedrooms would look great with fresh carpet and paint.

The new kitchen does not have a garbage disposal, this is very incovenient. Likewiss the fancy cabinets that open from the bottom up are too high and hard to open for anyone under 6 feet tall.

Beautiful view, well stocked, lovely decor, Bender staff is so nice. I have been coming to the Sandpiper for 10 years now about every other year. I couldn't be happier. It's a consistently nice stay. No complaints, except that I have to go home =)

We have stayed in 16C at the Sandpiper for the last two years now. It is the best condo. in the entire association! The pool needed to be a little warmer since the air temp. was so cool. Overall, another fantastic week at the beach. The staff at Bender is fantastic. They helped us book our vacation for next year in a different condo. since 16C will not be available during our spring break next year. Thanks again, Bender!

We love 16c at the Sandpiper. I think it's a great place to stay in Gulf Shores. The best thing about the unit is the view. Excluding the 2 bathrooms, one can see the ocean from every room in the condo. We also enjoy the private deck for sunrise and sunset viewing. We have only stayed there in the winter months. I expected a lower rate than I had to pay this time. It was more expensive than we payed the same time last year.

The unit was large, and well set up. It was like home away from home. We could not get the outlet in the master bathroom to work, but everything else was fantastic.

We want a slow paced, away from the hustle and bustle vacation. Sandpiper is perfect and quiet for our family. The hustle and bustle and awesome restaurants are only a few blocks away if you want that too. Highly recommend.

The condo. was awesome! The only negatives were the pool and cleanliness of the windows in the condo. The pool was very cold on several of the days. Hard to believe it was a heated pool. This was one of the reasons we chose the Sandpiper for the heated pool. The only other negative was the cleanliness of the windows. We paid extra for an end unit with a view. There was no view due to the dirt and grime on the windows. Overall, we were exceptionally satisfied and have already booked the same condo. for next year. Bender Realty is a pleasure to work with as well.

We had a wonderful time and looking forward to going back. Very family freindly and clean! The kids loved it and so did the big kids (adults). It was relaxing and also there is always something to do. We plan on escaping there again
