Description

Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Its unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, swimming pool and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests.

We have stayed at Sandpiper for several years. We always enjoy how short the walk to the beach is and how nicely the condos are maintained. Our only complaint was the amount of people with radios blasting from balconies and at the pool.

14 A is a nice unit. All the basics and reasonably clean. I do wish bedspreads were washed in between bookings. Love the location over the pool, and the quick hop to the beach. The drastically narrower beach, but I hear that there is a restoration project starting soon. We have been staying at the Sandpiper for 35+ years. Now enjoying it with kids and grandkids and family friends. Perfect place for 3 generations.

We are here for two months. Property amenities need to be updated. Iron was rusted, non stick kitchenwares pan bottoms were peeling off. We bought pans to use and I guess I will end up buying an iron. We do appreciate the new dinner plates this year. We brought kitchen stuff from home, but we have lim

The condo was clean, no bugs. All the light bulbs should be replaced with brighter LED bulbs. Appreciate the washer and dryer. We did not use any kitchen appliances except the refrigerator. It was very clean. Love the convenience to the beach and parking in the shade under the building. We will for sure stay here again.

Our family has been coming to the sandpaper for about 15 years maybe...we stay in a lot of different rooms here. 14A has been one of them...it’s a great location by the pool on the lowest level....best room for location....only get miring sun and no evening sun...the MAIN thing to us is the carpet needs to come out and the master bed mattress might be to be replaced. It also, when we first entered the room, smelled pretty musty or had a mildew odor...needs some new vent covers and there was no vent cover in extra bath. No major issues I guess...but the carpet is horrible! We will continue to stay at Sandpiper but will request another room! Same level and close to pool!

14A is a pretty cool place to stay. Being on the first floor definitely has pros and cons. But really the only con is if you have heavy feet or kiddos staying above you. I was worried about "the view" being on the first floor but was pleasantly surprised.
Only complaints would be when we arrived the tile floor was pretty sticky. But honestly that could be from people spraying their sunscreen.
And wasn't quite sure who to talk to about a couple of 20 somethings who showed up and were loud and completely inappropriate with making out and loud cursing in the pool in front of families with little kiddos. I'm assuming they had a room. They needed to use it.
Overall, Amazing place. I've stayed 3 times in the last 20 years and I love Sandpiper and it's location!! We will be back next year!!

I love Gulf Shores, it is my favorite beach to go to. I have been renting at Sandpiper for 10-15 years. I have stayed at several different condos at Sandpiper over the years. Property is in good condition, very clean, new furniture & mattresses on the beds this year. Bender Realty has always been professional with me, taken care of any issues I've ever had quickly. (5) very satisfied with my stay on all accounts.

We had a great stay! Bender made it so easy. The location and size were great. My only teensy complaint would be that the shower diverter in the master bath did not stay on. I am sure that is a quick fix.

This is our 6th straight year and the 2nd in 14A. Being on the first floor is so convenient. Beside the pool and only a few steps to the Ocean. Like being on the side where the evening sun does not bake your deck. Everyone is so friendly. Always clean.

I have stayed at Sandpiper every year for about 10 years. The rental units have always been clean. The staff at Bender have always been very helpful & courteous, the 2 times that I had to call for help when something was wrong with the unit, the problem was repaired within a couple of hours. The only issue I have is not with Bender, it would be with some of the other guests that have children. They need to keep their kids under control. Kids were running up & down the stairs, running around all the three floors chasing each other. The kids could have been hurt, or some of the elderly people could have been hurt, had the kids run into them. I love Gulf Shores & Sandpiper!!!

Other than it taking a bit to get in the condo due to some last minute maintenance, we really enjoyed our stay. The unit was overall accommodating although a little outdated. The Washer/Dryer was updated. We had a fantastic time and have been staying at the Sandpiper for the last 12 years.

Came down for the shrimp fest. Had a great time. Loved the condo. The beach is right there.
People in the complex were great....all really friendly. Walking distance to the best sea food, a small grocery and a good restruant. We will be back.

Our stay at Sandpiper 14A was awesome! It's literally the perfect place to stay while in Gulf Shores. Extremely clean, and very inviting place. Security is top notch! I have been around 8 times to the Sandpiper and have never met a bad neighbor in the whole building.

Location is incredible, and condo is comfy. The only thing wrong was there was only a VCR and no DVD player.

Our family had a wonderful time at the Sandpiper. It had a good view that could be enjoyed even while sitting in a recliner/rocker in the living room. We were very pleased with our stay. Hope to return soon.

The condo was great everything was in order. Internet connection has much to be desired. Needs better access. People not following rules. There were several families who saved about 10 chairs at the pool daily.

This was the perfect vacation rental for our vacation with friends. There was 4 adult and 3 kids ages 5-7 & it was perfect. We stayed at Sandpiper 14A & will be coming back!

When we arrived I was very pleased,even better than pictures in person.Nice Condo good working a/c. Nice having your own washer and dryer, and plenty of room. Everything you need,just like home. Perfect location on the sugery beach. Friendly family condos.Pool and outside area clean and nice. View was amazing!We will be coming back here again.Jeny and the Bender team were great to work with. We had a great meal at the Steamers a few blocks away.Great golf courses. Went to the zoo nice. Really enjoyed the Dolphin cruise on the Southern Rose!Plenty of stores grocery,souvenirs, fresh fish ,quick marts, outlet Mall.Everything inside and out you could want.We hated to leave! We loved our vacation!

Condo was great and clean just need to update the living room furniture it is wore out. Also needs to adjust the bed in front room it is lopsided. Other then that it was great as usual. Had a great time.

Everything about our trip was great! We have stayed at the Sandpiper several times and always love it. This year was the first time we had any problems. The refrigerator did not work properly. We called for service about 10:00 pm after purchasing $350.00+ in groceries and were told by the tech that he probably couldn't come that night. We called again the next morning and a tech came, spent 5 min. checking the temp (48 degrees) and said it would be fine. It was not fine. My husband fixed the refrigerator himself once we realized we would not get any help and would probably lose our groceries. The stove in the unit also needs attention but, after the fiasco with the fridge, we didn't even bother to call. So not at all happy with response from the service side. For $1800.00 a week, we do have certain expectations. But the office staff are wonderful to deal with and are always very nice and helpful. We did re-book the same unit for next year so, hopefully, the appliance issues will have been resolved by the time we return. We loved the abundance of furniture in the unit so that we could all sit comfortably together in the evenings and the view was great! Overall, this unit is great and we really liked it very much. Looking forward to returning next year!

We always enjoy the Sandpiper however this year 14A is showing its wear. The furniture needs replacing and the wall coverings need updating as the paper is coming loose. The baths need some caulking around the vanities. It was clean and when we asked for someone to help with the thermostat the man was quick to respond and it worked well after that.

We have rented a Condo at the Sandpiper for the last 6 years along with our children and other family friends. We have enjoyed the location and also the professional and friendly staff at Bender Reality. One concern we would have is that although the housekeeping staff had the conco clean when we arrived, we feel the carpets and furniture need a good cleaning or even may need to be replaced. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay as usual.

Everything was great, however, I was sad to see that the beach had become commercialized. The selling of beach chairs and the price they demanded left a bad taste in my mouth. Keep in mind that I have stayed at the Sandpiper for 40 years and it once was a place that was away from the beaten path. I guess time marches on. Nevertheless our time there was wonderful !!!

Had a wonderful time in Gulf Shores our little granddaughter who is age 3 enjoy the beach and the pool the weather could been a little better but had a great time would like to have gotten to grill out but could not use one of the grills cause of a people from 3-4 units of the Sandpiper was using all of the grills every night and need better control of wild adults and children running on all of the floors need a security guard to patrol 24 hours a day

First, let me say The Bender Realty staff is 1st class! We have stayed at The Sandpiper for 17 years now and they have always went out of their way to accommodate our needs.
14A - Pros - new kitchen cabinets and counter top was nice update. The condo was clean and the tile floor is nice.
Cons- The bedrooms need major updating! Bedding is out of the 70's and the beds are hard as rocks. Bedroom furniture needs updating! Clothing space is inadequate.
Entertainment center needs updating... very small TV and no DVD player! Look at 16B and follow their lead. Nice size flat screens in main room and bedroom. TV's are too cheap not to have this upgrade!!!
Overall... nice condo, but when compared to others and the price you have to pay, needs major updates in bedrooms and entertainment areas!

Overall we were happy with everything. This will be the forth year we have stayed at the Sandpiper, and we have always enjoyed it. The upgrades to the kitchen and baths in 14A this year were nice. Our only concerns would be that the furniture and bedroom carpets are a bit outdated and dirty.

We missed having our 4 condos next to one another.

The toilets were not clean and had mold growing in them when we arrived. Every thin else was fine. Just an oversight I am sure and they were cleaned immediately by the maid even though it was not one of her properties to clean.

I loved the Sand Piper. It is directly on the beach which was very convenient. I loved my beach vacation. The elevator could stand some work, the carts need to be fixed and the night time security guard Paul was very annoying. Other than that the place is awesome. I love the way the condos are set up with a view to the pool.
