Description

Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Its unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, swimming pool and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests.

This bright and cheery condo has all you'll need for your family to enjoy its beach stay in at-home comfort. The fully-equipped kitchen boasts both a Keurig and a standard drip coffee maker. Both bathrooms have been tiled, with one having a gorgeous, walk-in shower.

Three beds for three bodies. The kitchen was properly apportioned, and the rooms were clean and clutter-free. We had easy access to the pool and the beach. We were allowed to enjoy ourselves around the pool without being hassled by overbearing security, and we enjoyed the folks who were staying around us.

The Reinsch Family (28 members) first visited Sandpiper 15 years ago and fell in love with Gulf Shores and particularly this condo complex. Many family members have traveled back for a week's visit over the years since. This year, the entire family (now totaling 51 members) visited once again. We had a great time and hope to visit again in 2024!

Our first time there and what a wonderful and relaxing time. The condo was comfortable and accommodating. Plenty of places to dine out or a fully functional kitchen with everything you need to dine in. All you have to do is just bring the food. There was always a spot to park both our car under the building and our butts on the beach! Friendly people, from property management to the neighbors. We booked 12C again, on our last day there, for next year!

The weather was outstanding and we are always happy to see Bender's office staff with their sweet smiles. Bender employees are always willing to meet our needs while we are guests at the Sandpiper.

We have been staying in Gulf Shores for our 6 years. We always rent through Bender Realty and Rentals. They take good care of us. Our rentals are always really nice and clean. We rented our Confo at the Sandpiper through Bender Realty. The Realty Co had everything ready for our arrival. The condo was very nice and comfy and we loved the beach decor in the rooms. Sandpiper is only a 3 story condominium and it was what we wanted. Not a big high rise.

We have been coming to Sand Piper for about 10 years I believe with my husbands family. This is the greatest spot if you have children and want your room centrally located! You can see the pool, ocean and the evening sun won’t bother you! Grills on property if you want to cook on your own!

If you are looking for a great place to stay, then call Bender Realty and reserve Sandpiper 12C. We love going to the beach and this is the perfect location, with easy access to all of our favorite places to dine and souvenir shopping. Bender Realty made everything so easy. They did all the paperwork for our reservation thru email and were very polite and courteous. Our beach rental was clean and comfortable, providing us with the atmosphere of being at home.The best part was that the beach was just steps away. What more could you ask for?

We have stayed at Sandpiper multiple times and loved staying in 12C. Everything from sufficient cooking supplies, games, and even beach chairs. We added some simple pool floats for future vacationers. Will definitely be back. Only downside was deck maintenance going on, but alas it has to be done.

This was our 3rd year at Sandpiper and we’ve been in 12-C each year. We always enjoy the property and 12-C has everything we are looking for. My suggestion would be to remove the carpet in the Master and also replace the bed.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Condo great location, wonderful weather and beautiful condo. Very bright and colorful. Had everything. The things I look for in a condo: Tile and or hardwood in den, big TV, Table for 6, two double and/or queen beds in 2nd bedroom, and decorated tastefully. Of course, I would want it to be clean and have a washer and dryer. This condo had it all. Loved it. Bender Realty does a good job in cleaning. Only bad remarks, would be that people are still smoking at pool. There are No signs that say “no Smoking”.

We had a great stay at Sandpiper. The location is unbeatable, right on the beach and not far from all the restaurants, shops and activities. The pool is a nice size and certain parts stay shady throughout the day which is nice in the heat. It's great to be able to go back and forth so easily from the pool to the beach. The condo itself was very nice with plenty of space and a great view. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen well stocked. The grilling area outside was perfect and easily accessible. The staff were great to work with too. This was our second time staying at Sandpiper and we will return again. It's a great family atmosphere and a perfect place to relax.

After my first time experience of the Sandpiper complex, it is truly my favorite place to vacation. I enjoyed the family atmosphere, the amenities, and the location close to the beach. I would like to see the pool close an hour later than 10 pm. It is just not enough time after dinner to enjoy. The pool is usually the evening place to go.

The condo was furnished comfortably and had everything you needed in the kitchen. The location is perfect, the beaches clean and welcoming. The pool was very well maintained and there were plenty of chairs available. We were caught off guard by the extra fees the realty charged. What started out as affordable became an expense we hadn't known about. The amenities were very nice and a relaxing atmosphere. The American flag flew proudly as you walked on the beach. A welcome sight.

We had a wonderfull time as usual despite the new rules of taking everything in at night. I have spent 25 plus years coming down to the Sandpiper because of it's unique lay out and family atmosphere. This complex is not for people who want peace and quiet on their vacation because of the way it is layed out. People must know this before they book. We bring a big group when we come and we come to have a good time. Because of the new rules we have to bring our party back to the condo complex instead of enjoying the beach at night like we have in the past. This brings more noise to the condo at night. Sorry! We miss the beach at night!!!! One thing that i would suggest to Bender and the owners would be a new deck walk way out to the beach. We are getting older and now that we have to take everything up at night this would help. We need a canopy to protect us from the sun, chairs, coolers, and everything else needed to enjoy the beach. We have stroke victims, car accident victims, and people who just don't get around as well as we used to and the walk way would help. One thing i noticed in our condo and others is the top of refridgerators look as if they are never cleaned. The grounds keepers trimmed the bushes by the beach and left the trimmings all over the pathway for two days and then really did not clean up very well. 12C could use a recliner. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths was great with kids. The full kitchen is a must because it's so expensive to eat out. Over all we enjoyed our stay and 12 C was a good condo, comfortable beds.

Our condo was perfect for our family and we really appreciated the personal touches like bedtime, beach & cook books, the guest book, grilling utensils and beach toys! We felt like we were staying at a friend's condo. We love the beach cottage decor, the view from our room and we walked right out the door to a direct view of dolphins!

We were all very pleased with our accommodations. The condo was clean, comfortably furnished, well equipted kitchen and artfully decorated. We definitely plan to come again. Office staff was courteous and helpful although we had little interaction with them except at check-in. Meeting the owner of the unit was a pleasure as well. See you next time.

The condo was very neat and clean. It was fully stocked with amenities. It was right on the beach. The pool area was nice. There was an issue with the water main one day but it was fixed quickly. I plan to go back sometime.

We had a fabulous time staying at the Sandpiper! As a child my parents brought us to vacation at the Sandpiper and I couldn't wait to bring my family to create life long memories!

I have vacationed in Gulf Shores 5 other times as an adult and we have always used Bender Realty. We have always had a pleasant experience with this company and if there were ever any issues they were quick to act.

We stayed in 12-C this year at the Sandpiper and we were so impressed with all that it had to offer to us. A great view, a wonderful selection of cooking utensils. Plenty of comfortable beds and many, many other amenities we never expected to find. This was by far the nicest condo we have ever stayed in! We will return to the Sandpiper next year and many more to come!

Our condo at Sandpiper was wonderful. Check-in was a breeze and staff at Bender Realty the sweetest. We found our condo to be clean, cool and quiet. Appliances worked fine and kitchen was adequately equipped. We appreciated ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms. Liked the way this complex is arranged in a U shape with the green space and pool in the center. Buildings are clean and well kept. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this condo to all.

We rented 4 condo units at the Sandpiper! Each unit was clean, well equipped and well maintained. We had small children with us, the property worked great with the pool and easy access to the beach.

We noticed the evening security walking around and really appreciated it.

The Bender staff were top notch.

Loved it, we'll be back next year.

Have stayed with you for three years, noise levels were unacceptable on several evenings. There were several groups of parents who thought it o.k. to have their kids running endlessly on the decks for several hours at a time after it got dark.

Overall our stay at the Sandpiper was all that we were looking for. Location was perfect. Staff was friendly. The condo was well maintained and efficiently furnished. Our only complaint/request is that a kettle be added to the appliances. The cleanliness of the condo was also at a high standard we dropped one star on cleanliness solely due to a small mess in the kitchen on the back splash that was missed before our arrival. We would not hesitate to book through Bender Realty in the future or book the same unit again.

We have been traveling to Gulf Shores for more than 20 years and have stayed at the Sandpiper for all of those visits. This complex is the ideal place for large groups or families. The outside decking makes this the place to stay if you like to visit with family and friends without disturbing ones privacy in their room. The facilities are kept clean and the management always responds to your request.This is a great place to stay.

I know it's not your fault but we were switched from our original condo due to water damage from a washing machine. We were moved to the 3rd floor and the rest of my family were on the first floor. It did have an effect on how the vacation went. Other than that it was awesome.

Our room was clean but outdated. We were very disappointed that the family reunion going on left very little to no room for us at the pool. There were times that there was no room for us in the pool. Very crowded with a lot of alcohol (we do not drink),
loud people and loud music. Really cut down on the relaxation for us.

Overall our vacation in Gulf Shores was great. Sandpiper is in a good location has a nice pool and a great view of the ocean from the balconies. I would not rent or recommend the 12C condo - the carpet in the living room was grungy, the bathroom floors needed mopped and the DVD\VCR did not work. Our friends were in the condo next door, it was clean and everything worked.

Manager's Response

If we had known that the DVD/VCR was not working it would have been replaced. There was a small area rug in the living room (covering a nice tile floor) which has been removed for a professional cleaning. The same nice tile flooring is in both baths.

This was our 2nd stay at Sandpiper of Gulf Shores. We loved the accomodations, the convenience of the well-heated pool and the wonderful view and ease of access to the beach!

The bathrooms need to be cleaned much better. Ruins the "first impression" and ruins the first hour of vacation. After that everything was great!!! No doubt that we will be coming back.

The overall stay was great. The condo was filthy. I reported it to the mgr. She sent the cleaning ladies over. The bathrooms, kitchen, refrigerator and floors were filthy. The living area rug had a large stained spot which I later rubbed clean with carpet spray cleaner. I complained to the condo mgr. She sent the cleaning ladies over. They took a rag with their foot and rubbed it over the sticky, dirty spots on the floor then mopped it with filthy dirty mop water. One actually used the rag she had cleaned the floor with to wipe off the refrigerator doors. I went to Walmart later and bought a mop and broom and swept and mopped the floors. When you are charged a cleaning fee the rooms should be clean.

WE hadn't been to gulf shores for about 10 years. Previously we had stayed at the Sandpiper with our children while they were growing up, and found it to be a very safe , confortable and family oriented home away from home. After returning this past fall we felt like we were back home and plan on returning frequently . Our grown up children and their families will also be returning to our favorite gulf side " home away from home."
