Description

Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Its unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, seasonally-heated swimming pool (mid-March through October, as needed) and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests.

We rented 11C for family members coming to visit us at the Beach. They enjoyed the nicely decorated unit. Beautiful large dining table was great for communal gatherings. Just one small suggestion—unit needs a wine opener.

Working with Bender is as easy as pie. The folks are awesome. Sandpiper is a wonderful place to get a large group of folks together. The rooms are open to the outside and in close proximity. The pool is large enough to accommodate everyone and the beach is a few easy steps away.

This is is our fifth year renting this condo. This year we were thrilled to find the unit had been very tastefully updated. Fresh paint throughout, new beds in the guest bedroom, both bathrooms updated, and a new kitchen sink. Most of the furniture is new and new interior doors and.hardware have been installed. There were new ceiling fans and all outlets and light switches had been replaced. It’s just perfect for us, we’ve already rebooked for next year.

The condo was well furnished with all the necessary appliances, utensils and cutlery. There was three beds for three bodies, and all of the necessary facilities were in working order. It was a great value for the dollars which is important for a long guy's weekend trip.

We had a great time even with the rain which wasn’t your fault. The condo was perfect for us. The condo was clean and very nice. It is in a great location, not right in the middle of all the restaurants and souvenir shops but close enough. It was not my first time to stay at the Sandpiper but always my first choice. It being a smaller condo is one of the things I love about it but I’m sure that is why it’s harder to reserve because I’m sure everyone that stays there feels the same. Love it!

I've been staying at the Sandpiper for over two decades and it seems as time goes by, many children are left unattended. The constant running and lack of parents at the pool is disturbing. Unfortuntly it might take a serious accident for changes to happen. Their were even people at the pool that were not staying at the Sandpiper.
The cleanliness of the condo really gets less than a one star...I start cleaning at the door every year before moving my things in. Bender is getting robbed by the service they use and that cost goes up every year. It's a shame.
The people at Bender are awesome! I can't say enough about them. Always kind and positive. They have helped me several times.
I'm excited for the new owner of the condo I stay in. The best is yet to come.

We enjoyed our stay, this is our fourth year in this condo. It’s comfortable and has what we need for our two month stay. Especially appreciate the nearly new laundry equipment and the two recliners. Overall, we are happy with our stay and have rebooked for next year.

This is our fourth year spending January and February in this unit. Very comfortable and homey, we especially like having two recliners so we both can relax while reading or watching TV. We love the walk-in showers and the washer-dryer is newer and large capacity. Removing the dated wallpaper in the master bathroom and painting those walls would be a nice update. We really like this unit and have rebooked for next year.

I love staying at the Sandpiper condos, the location is great and you have all the amenities you might need. The units are perfect for families, you walk right out onto the beach and have a pool to use. I do wish they would add a walkway from the complex to the beach. I've stayed at this complex multiple times over the last 10 years and unfortunately the condo we were moved into needs a bit of updating, it was outdated looking compared to the other units our family members were staying in (the first one we booked became unavailable). The cold water does not work in the master bathroom, it was turned off underneath the sink and looks like the faucet is broken. The condo did have plenty of dishes and we liked having a regular coffee machine as well as one that uses Keurig cups.

Owners are friendly and helpful. Unit is close to everything. On the beach. Love the elevator. Love the carts that are provided to bring luggage up. Kitchen is stocked with whatever tools you should need. Unit has washer and dryer but bring your own laundry pods if you wash a lot. I would definitely return to this location.

This is our second year in this condo. We love the top floor location and it has everything we need for a comfortable stay. Love the fact that we have comfortable recliners and a lot of nice kitchen gadgets. With the COVID-19 situation, we have been cooking most meals in our condo so it’s nice to have the necessary tools. We have booked again for next year and we are looking forward to our stay. The only issue I had was that the cleaning service wasn’t as thorough as last year. It seemed like they had made the beds and cleaned the bathroom but that was it.

Had a great time in Gulf Shores. This condo is decent. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. Property team was good to work with. Helped get an extra parking spot. They were very attentive when we called. They explained the current protocol in place for Gulf Shores beach and surrounding area.

During pandemic time, some people did wear masks, most people did not. Take your own approach to that. We did NOT spend time at the pool. No one there had masks. We spent most of our time on the beach or w/ friends who rented a house down West Beach. We also played golf one day at Glen Lakes outside of Foley. Very nice course. We hit the bike trails around the area. Did carry out and cooked-in. Get some fresh seafood from S&S seafood.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very nice unit with comfortable chairs and nice big screen TV. Big improvement over the unit we stayed in last year. The unit was nice and clean and the linens were very nice. We rebooked this unit for next year and we are looking forward to returning.

We have enjoyed our first month in this unit. Love the top floor location, we get the morning sun and a great view of the gulf. The unit was very clean and had everything we would need. Enjoying our second month here before we head back to the South Dakota cold. We are looking forward to returning next January and February ❤️

The condo at the Sandpiper complex we rented was perfect! The walk-in tub with seat was a perfect choice for my limited mobility. The setup of having multiple condos all sharing the balcony/pool/beach was perfect for our family reunion. Will definitely return!

I can not express how pleased we were with our recent stay at your lovely condo. The unit itself was well decorated, clean, with plenty of room. The building was just what we wanted - not a high rise, and close to the beach! You can see all of this in the photos, but what you don't see are the other guests. In speaking with them, we found that many have been coming here for 20+ years! If you want a smaller building where you can see friendly faces this is the place! We will be back!

The unit was clean and in great shape. We’re a guy’s golf trip (50’s and 60’s) so we don’t have a lot of kitchen/appliance needs; however, we did have everything we need. The satellite TV worked and had a great sports package. The restrooms/showers were clean and in great working order. We will be back.

Once again, our group (60 people) had an amazing week. My only suggestion is build a wooden walkway from the pool area to the beach (like the Caribbean and Gulf Tower.) Since we have to take down 12 canopies each night, it would be helpful to have a storage area in the garage.

I do hate the fact you have to take everything back to condo from the beach now at night makes it hard on older people, we use to leave it over night but it's not Bender it s City of gulf shores and orange beach.

My family really enjoyed staying in Gulf Shores, AL
Sandpiper 11c was very well maintained and had plenty of room for us! It was very clean I would recommend this place and condo to anyone interesting in staying here. Check in was very smooth and the bender realty was very informative and helpful.

We were delighted with the newly decorated unit 11C at Sandpiper. It is a great improvement over our past 3-4 years in comfort amenities. A real home away from home.

Winter Escape: We have been coming to Sadpiper for 12 years, and like the facility very much. Our unit is redecorated and like a home on the beach. The furnishings are attractive and comfortable and like a home away from home.

We found a few that the cleaning crew overlooked or didn't complete their job. Woodwork had hand smudges, floor corners were not clean in the bathrooms. There was water in the bottom of the fridge which should have been noticed. It took several calls to get a repair man, who fixed it quickly and well. Lighting was poor, but the owner replaced and added lamps, purchased new blankets and pans that were needed.

This is our 4th time at the Sandpiper,and it was one of the best. 11C has been given a face lift and looks great. I brought my own blankets and sheets, and did not even have to take them out, because what the condo had was wonderful,( soft warm and cozy). This is a great place for families, the pool is heated and that makes for nice evenings at the pool. We will be back again. Thanks

I have stayed at the Sandpiper several times, the way the property is set up it is easy to interact with other guest, so if you are vacationing with a group of people this is the perfect location. Located on the beachfront in a U shape with all the rooms facing the courtyard where the pool and grilling areas are located with a view of the beach from your balcony. You are able to park under the units and keep your vehicle shaded. Many of the units have been updated with new kitchens, bathrooms and tile floors, one unit I viewed had granite counter tops in the kitchen and both baths. Since the units are individually owned the units vary in decor, many units being well decorated and colorful, 11C is not one of those units. Unit 11C has what appears to be original cabinets from the late 60's, carpet and old furnishings with all white walls. The people at Bender Realty are great and if you ask I'm sure they could stear you to the best units. Unit 11C needs to step it up to catch up with many of the other units, there were 6 units rented by the people in our group so we were able to compare the units and we all payed the same price so get the best unit available. I will not stay in 11C again until the owner remodels it. The common areas of the property are very well maintained, we wouldn't stay anywhere other than the Sandpiper.

condo was good. But parking spots needs to be slanted are something they are hard to get out of .

We love the fact tha Sandpiper is not a high rise. Also, now that we have grandchildren the pool situated in the middle makes a big difference. For twenty year I never got in the pool but things have changed.

Enjoyed the stay. missed the office being at sandpiper so had very little interactiion with office to answer questions etc. One of the units there was food left in refrigerator and in another there was sand in the sheets- appeared bed had not been changed... aside from that we had a delightful stay ..still do not understand why we get charged a booking fee of $180.00 for six units since we made this and paid for all on one credit card....on the telephone......if we booked online do we not have to pay the booking fee? Condo was fine could use some slight updating, king bed was a bit short.
The week we stayed the complex was full but very nice families our children did not want to leave they met so many new friends.
I have recommended the complex to other friends and family and hope to go back next summer.
Bender Reality personal were very nice and helpful and have also recommended them.
