Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Its unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, swimming pool and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests.

Love the property. The condo is need disparate need of new mattresses, pillows and a BROOM or VACUUM. I've never stayed somewhere that didn't have a means of cleaning the floor, especially at the beach.

Lodging was great---condo was adjacent to unit we own. One condo acted as "kitchen" other was used for card/board games. Very nice. Wonderful for parents and children.

This was our third winter in 11C. It’s a cozy unit with everything we need for a pleasant stay. We especially appreciate that there are two comfortable recliners. We have made lots of friends and are looking forward to next year.

I love staying at the Sandpiper condos, the location is great and you have all the amenities you might need. The units are perfect for families, you walk right out onto the beach and have a pool to use. I do wish they would add a walkway from the complex to the beach. I've stayed at this complex multiple times over the last 10 years and unfortunately the condo we were moved into needs a bit of updating, it was outdated looking compared to the other units our family members were staying in (the first one we booked became unavailable). The cold water does not work in the master bathroom, it was turned off underneath the sink and looks like the faucet is broken. The condo did have plenty of dishes and we liked having a regular coffee machine as well as one that uses Keurig cups.

Been to many condos at Sandpiper and we love the atmosphere. This is handsdown the worse condo we've had not only at Sandpiper but in Gulf Shores period. The condo has not been maintained at all. The beds were worn out, the appliances hardly worked, the tile floor throughout were cracked and coming up, the master vanity faucet didn't work and the only way to get it work was to have the water run non-stop. On top of that it was filthy. Food left on the ground, hadn't been dusted, sand on the floors (a good amount), counter tops and table were sticky, and showers hadn't been cleaned (hair and sand in both). We did call Bender and report but maintenence did nothing to fix and we had already cleaned up when we checked in. Totally disgusted and not worth the $2k.

Owners are friendly and helpful. Unit is close to everything. On the beach. Love the elevator. Love the carts that are provided to bring luggage up. Kitchen is stocked with whatever tools you should need. Unit has washer and dryer but bring your own laundry pods if you wash a lot. I would definitely return to this location.

This is our second year in this condo. We love the top floor location and it has everything we need for a comfortable stay. Love the fact that we have comfortable recliners and a lot of nice kitchen gadgets. With the COVID-19 situation, we have been cooking most meals in our condo so it’s nice to have the necessary tools. We have booked again for next year and we are looking forward to our stay. The only issue I had was that the cleaning service wasn’t as thorough as last year. It seemed like they had made the beds and cleaned the bathroom but that was it.

Had a great time in Gulf Shores. This condo is decent. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. Property team was good to work with. Helped get an extra parking spot. They were very attentive when we called. They explained the current protocol in place for Gulf Shores beach and surrounding area. <br/><br/>During pandemic time, some people did wear masks, most people did not. Take your own approach to that. We did NOT spend time at the pool. No one there had masks. We spent most of our time on the beach or w/ friends who rented a house down West Beach. We also played golf one day at Glen Lakes outside of Foley. Very nice course. We hit the bike trails around the area. Did carry out and cooked-in. Get some fresh seafood from S&S seafood. <br/>

The condo Itself was good. Clean and comfortable. The complex however was not. I realize this is not the owners fault, but we were forced to smell marijuana & constant cigarette smoking on the balconies all around us, also at the pool. It ruined our time outside trying to enjoy the complex. We resorted to the beach all day and renting a boat to get away. This may not bother some, but my small kids were there and it was not ideal for my family. Smoking, drinking, cursing all allowed at the pool but when my 5 year old wore a floatie we were scolded that they aren’t allowed. I didn’t argue, I just left. Not our scene.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very nice unit with comfortable chairs and nice big screen TV. Big improvement over the unit we stayed in last year. The unit was nice and clean and the linens were very nice. We rebooked this unit for next year and we are looking forward to returning.

We have enjoyed our first month in this unit. Love the top floor location, we get the morning sun and a great view of the gulf. The unit was very clean and had everything we would need. The condo at the Sandpiper complex we rented was perfect! The walk-in tub with seat was a perfect choice for my limited mobility. The setup of having multiple condos all sharing the balcony/pool/beach was perfect for our family reunion. Will definitely return!

I can not express how pleased we were with our recent stay at your lovely condo. The unit itself was well decorated, clean, with plenty of room. The building was just what we wanted - not a high rise, and close to the beach! You can see all of this in the photos, but what you don't see are the other guests. In speaking with them, we found that many have been coming here for 20+ years! If you want a smaller building where you can see friendly faces this is the place! We will be back!
Sandpiper is definitely THE place to go to when visiting the Gulf Coast! Its family atmosphere, lovely pool and garden areas, and direct beach access are what brings people back, year after year. Unit 11C is nicely appointed with a sweet view.

The unit was clean and in great shape. We’re a guy’s golf trip (50’s and 60’s) so we don’t have a lot of kitchen/appliance needs; however, we did have everything we need. The satellite TV worked and had a great sports package. The restrooms/showers were clean and in great working order. We will be back.

Once again, our group (60 people) had an amazing week. My only suggestion is build a wooden walkway from the pool area to the beach (like the Caribbean and Gulf Tower.) Since we have to take down 12 canopies each night, it would be helpful to have a storage area in the garage.

We found a few that the cleaning crew overlooked or didn't complete their job. Woodwork had hand smudges, floor corners were not clean in the bathrooms. There was water in the bottom of the fridge which should have been noticed. It took several calls to get a repair man, who fixed it quickly and well. Lighting was poor, but the owner replaced and added lamps, purchased new blankets and pans that were needed.

This is our 4th time at the Sandpiper,and it was one of the best. 11C has been given a face lift and looks great. I brought my own blankets and sheets, and did not even have to take them out, because what the condo had was wonderful,( soft warm and cozy). This is a great place for families, the pool is heated and that makes for nice evenings at the pool. We will be back again. Thanks

I have stayed at the Sandpiper several times, the way the property is set up it is easy to interact with other guest, so if you are vacationing with a group of people this is the perfect location. Located on the beachfront in a U shape with all the rooms facing the courtyard where the pool and grilling areas are located with a view of the beach from your balcony. You are able to park under the units and keep your vehicle shaded. Many of the units have been updated with new kitchens, bathrooms and tile floors, one unit I viewed had granite counter tops in the kitchen and both baths. Since the units are individually owned the units vary in decor, many units being well decorated and colorful, 11C is not one of those units. Unit 11C has what appears to be original cabinets from the late 60's, carpet and old furnishings with all white walls. The people at Bender Realty are great and if you ask I'm sure they could stear you to the best units. Unit 11C needs to step it up to catch up with many of the other units, there were 6 units rented by the people in our group so we were able to compare the units and we all payed the same price so get the best unit available. I will not stay in 11C again until the owner remodels it. The common areas of the property are very well maintained, we wouldn't stay anywhere other than the Sandpiper.

We love the fact tha Sandpiper is not a high rise. Also, now that we have grandchildren the pool situated in the middle makes a big difference. For twenty year I never got in the pool but things have changed.

Enjoyed the stay. missed the office being at sandpiper so had very little interactiion with office to answer questions etc. One of the units there was food left in refrigerator and in another there was sand in the sheets- appeared bed had not been changed... aside from that we had a delightful stay ..still do not understand why we get charged a booking fee of $180.00 for six units since we made this and paid for all on one credit card....on the telephone......if we booked online do we not have to pay the booking fee? I have stayed at Sandpiper for a couple years now and this was the first time I wasn't real pleased. It needed dusted, swept, and mopped. The king size bed was 2 twins pushed together which made it hard for my parents to sleep. I think they should have said it was 2 twin beds, maybe we just chose the wrong unit 11C because we enjoyed 12A at Sandpiper alot.

We have used from 4 to 6 units on the third floor of the Sandpiper each of the past 3 years and have units reserved for next June. So naturally we are very pleased with the Sandpiper.

Condo was fine could use some slight updating, king bed was a bit short. <br/>The week we stayed the complex was full but very nice families our children did not want to leave they met so many new friends. <br/>I have recommended the complex to other friends and family and hope to go back next summer. <br/>Bender Reality personal were very nice and helpful and have also recommended them. <br/>

The unit in which we stayed was in need of updating. The couch was in bad shape and the carpet needed replacing. Kitchen supplies need to be replaced also. Sandpiper condos are beginning to show some age. We have stayed at Sandpiper many times and this was by far the worst experience we have had. I would not recommend 11C to anyone.
