Royal Palms Penthouse 1403 is located at 561 East Beach Boulevard in beautiful Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Your vacation dreams have come true with this incredible penthouse find! This stunning 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom unit is sure to take your breath away. Each bedroom has a comfortable king size bed. One of the master suites even has its own wet bar and mini fridge (it’s 5 o’clock somewhere!). This unit has an incredibly unique 1000 sq ft wrap-around balcony with access from the living room, dining room, and each bedroom. You will feel like royalty spending time soaring high about the beaches soaking in all the sights and sounds of the Gulf of Mexico! The tall 9 ft ceilings, fully equipped kitchen and washer and dryer will make you feel right at home while you vacation. As if all of this wasn’t enough, there are 3 TVs, a DVD player and WiFi to keep you connected and entertained throughout your stay.

Royal Palms is a beautiful property with lots of excellent amenities. With it’s gulf front location, you will have easy access to the white sandy beaches of Gulf Shores every day! There are both an indoor and an outdoor pool, exercise room, steam room and sauna. This property is located near the 1540 ft. Gulf State Park Fishing Pier and very close proximity to all of the best dining, shopping and recreation that the island has to offer. Please note there is a new BBQ grilling area. The building has 2 elevators for ease of access throughout the building.

We made a last-minute decision to go to Gulf Shores because our daughter and family were going. The penthouse was the only unit available. It is a very nice unit but much too big for the two of us. It is also quite pricey. The view of the beach from the wraparound balcony was lovely. We normally vacation off-season at our favorite condo on Padre Island, Texas. We did not enjoy the in-season crowds at Gulf Shores with the bumper to bumper traffic, crowded restaurants and would not do it again. We thought it unusual that the facility, especially considering the price of the units, required guests to provide their own toiletries, toilet paper, dish detergent, and we did not realize that we were required to also bring our own trash bags. Our condo on Padre supplies all of these plus "refills," as well as clean towels whenever needed. They also pick up our garbage when placed outside of our door and leave replacement trash bags. It was convenient to have a washer and dryer in the unit. We were surprised, however, that we were required to wash, dry and put up dishes and utensils before we left. It was obvious that previous guests had perhaps put up dishes which had not been adequately washed. Management should be responsible for insuring that dishes and utensils are sanitary and not leave it up to guests. We washed the dishes before we used them in addition to after use. The staff at the Bender office was extremely friendly and helpful. We were greeted at the condo by a very nice gentleman, Mike, who helped us bring in our luggage and supplies. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but we think we will continue to vacation off-season at our perfectly nice but much more reasonably priced condo on Padre.

This was our 11th year with Bender realty staying at Royal palms resort in Gulf Shores. This was our 8th year in unit 1403 we absolutely love this condo it has the best view of the beach and the ocean by far.
The condo was very clean up on our arrival we had no issues with anything in the condo during our stay.

This has been our 3rd stay at Royal Palms 1403 for a month.
The Penthouse was very clean, spacious, and the wraparound balcony provided beautiful patio furniture to enjoy the view of the beach.
Good customer service was provided when the ice maker didn’t work, a serviceman replaced ice maker/ door seal in a timely matter.
I would highly recommend this Penthouse to anyone.
We have stayed at many other properties tru Bender Realty at Gulf Shores and this by far has the most Awesome view , spacious living area, and the paintings by the owner we loved.
The only recommendation would be to replace the couch eventually.
We hope the owner continues to offer us snowbirds winter monthly rates.
Thank you to the owner and Bender Reality for letting us enjoy a beach condo that felt like home to us.

We loved Royal Palms 1403. There was plenty of room in the living room and dining room area for the kids to hang out in. The bedrooms had plenty of space as well and the extra half bath was a great bonus. The balcony was our favorite part. It is huge and the furniture is comfortable. We plan to stay here again.

Exceptionally Awesome, we felt like rolayity in this Penthouse.
The new patio furniture that the owner placed on deck was a Great addition to this rental!
The only isssue we had was the couch was uncomfortable, maybe a replacement in the future would be nice. It was low to floor , especially for a tall person Property was clean, holes in ceiling needed repair due to roof being replaced.
Is there any thought of a upgrade to have USB ports available?
We have stayed in this rental March 2021 and plan on spending a month end of 2022.
Of all the places we have rented on the island, this is the most OUT STANDING!!!

We love Bender Realty and The Royal Palms Penthouse is the only place we stay. You will not be disappointed. Yes the building is going through hurricane repairs but nothing that will ruin your stay. I actually walked with the dolphins swimming by because the sandbar was so close and big it was amazing. Hope to be back in 2022 .

This has been one of the best condos we have stayed in. The private balcony along with the huge wrap around balcony was one of our favorite things. The views from the balconies were beyond spectacular. The condo itself was very spacious. Despite construction work going on the building, and then the unit next to us being totally gutted. I would highly recommend this unit to everyone.

Had a wonderful visit. However it was very noisy as they were replacing the roof which went on all day till about 6. Took this unit for the balcony and we had painters for three days of our visit. Which all these h things have to be done, I understand just disappointed that it was at this time. But condo is wonderful does still need some repairs ceiling plaster was felling in all the rooms. Bathroom have been nicely updated.

Royal Palms has the great benefit of being the last unit before the noncommercial Gulf State Park beach, an especially desirable benefit during this summer with so many people are in Gulf Shores. Views were wonderful from this penthouse unit, and the wraparound balcony provided shelter for everyone even on a rainy day. Loved having a full-sized washer/dryer while there for a week. Furnishings were fine, beds were comfortable. Cons: Housekeeping quality control could be better. Workers need and to double check floors behind the bathroom doors. Refrigerator shelving needed to be wiped down before we put the food in it. Overall we had a wonderful week and would rent this unit again.

The unit is a great location on a quiet stretch of beach. However, the only advantage for this unit is it's huge balcony, which is in desperate need of new furniture. We had 2 usable Adirondack chairs for our group of 4 adults. The furniture looks like it was picked up from the free bin downstairs.

The penthouse was nice. The view was incredible. The bedrooms were large and the bathrooms were clean and serviceable. Having stayed in Orange Beach the past 5 years, it was nice being in a quieter location that Gulf Shores provides. Being beside the State Park also was a plus. No buildings blocking the view or neighbors looking in your windows. There was a slight issue with the water pressure in the kitchen. When the tap is opened, the water would aerate and spew out in gasps. Sometimes only air would come out of the faucet. It would clear up in a minute or two. Overall, the property was what we needed for a long weekend.

We have rented this she met many times over the past years it is one of the best on the beach. This year with coven 19 we did bring our own sanitizing wipes and my thoughts sprays and we did re clean everything that we touched when we arrived and before we left. I was really surprised to see that this year the condo was not as clean as previous years. The stove and oven was not cleaned at all there is a grease splattered all over the stove and up under the wall and the oven still had aluminum foil left in it from the previous renters. Also previous renters had spilt something red and splattered into the creases of the cabinets so when you open the door it had read sticky stuff all over the place which I did clean. over all We did enjoy our stay. And we will be returning next year.

The unit was very clean and comfortable, nicely furnished with great view of the beach. Bigger balcony then most units in this complex. Nice dining area would seat up to 6. One odd thing is that one bedroom did not share ventilation with the main unit. It had a hotel style wall unit to control air and heat in that room. It worked well and we were comfortable once we realized that room was controlled separately.

Very good experience. Only 2 negatives were the condo was so, so clean (master shower & edges everywhere needed attention. Also, one day we came back & someone had been in our unit. No notice or call ahead. Apparently they were supposed to get into it the week prior & couldnt. The issue was no notice or note left telling us who was in the room. There is no safe in the room so having anyone in there when we are not there without a heads up is not ok.

Aside from the 2 smaller issues, we would definetly stay @ royal palms again.

Best view in gulf shores for sure.

This unit has to be the BEST ON THE BEACH! The view and balcony are indescribable! It truly is a home away from home, right on the beach; convenient to everything; and did I mention the view? Watching the waves and sunset from that balcony is truly one of the best experiences you will have. This is our new home away from home!!

Nice location and enjoyed the outdoor space. It was a surprise to find a property person in the condo when we arrived (after 5 PM). He didn't explain what he was doing. The owners need to know that the dryer does not work-no heat. Property description is accurate.

Everything was good. The only thing is was the leak in the second bedroom. With that being said we enjoyed the stay this was the second time at this property.

There was renovations going on everyday during my stay. Otherwise my family enjoyed out stay.

We did not realize prior to our arrival that we had rented a penthouse. It was great and I enjoyed watching from the balcony people on the beach, fish swimming in the water close to the beach, using my camera lenses the boats, etc. far out in the Gulf. We enjoyed the beach, sand, water, etc.

well aside from the fact we were rear-ended in a downpour about 15 minutes from condo, it was nice. but, my friend was sick all week. we left a day early.the Condo was nice, enjoyed watching the waves come in, did see dolphins the first morning.

Beautiful view and we had a wrap around balcony, simply gorgeous! Property is in need of some repair, showers need work, tile floors need a good cleaning and some outdoor furniture needs to be replaced, we were unable to use some out door chairs because they were completely worn out. Should be thrown out before someone gets hurt. Lambert's a great meal, but go hungry! Cactus Cantina Mexican , great food. Can't forget Lulu's. All and all great time. Been coming a long time and will be back! The weather was great.

It was amazing! We've never stayed in a condo before and it turned out to be a great experience. The condo was beautiful and had fantastic views of the ocean. It was quiet and very clean. The staff (pool people and security guards were all we saw) were very courteous and kind. We met another tenant who owns a condo and she was friendly and sweet as well. The price was comparable to a hotel stay, yet the experience was much, much better. Having your own kitchen, washer and dryer and all the amenities was such a blessing! I would highly recommend it. One thing I might suggest is to check the temperature on the water heater. It certainly became hot enough to scald...fine for adults who can react, but worrisome for kids. Other than that (and the loud bathroom vent in the master) it was absolutely perfect.

This unit had the best location of any we have stayed in at Gulf Shores. The view was incredible - overlooking the state park and not having to look at another condo. The bedrooms were good size and each had a door to the balcony. The only negative was that the unit was darker than we would have liked. We were expecting beachy furniture, not heavy dark wood in the living area and a jungle theme in the bedroom.

This condo is absolutely amazing. The view from the balcony was so great that we would have stayed there the whole vacation. We could even see dolphins from it. We went in August so there were quite a few jelly fish in the water, but it they were easily spotted. The condo is very spacious as well and we felt like we had a lot of privacy being next to the state park. We will definitely be staying here again.

I have never rented a condo rental any better than this. We had so many activities planned while at the beach. However, we simply could not pull ourselves away from that balcony. We did manage to pull ourselves away for one day to bike ride the backcountry trail of the state park. Absolutely the best paved bike trail ever. We will definitely be back and promise ourselves to do the zip line across the street on our next visit. We just could not leave the balcony on this visit.

Still a great view. Cleaning still a problem as there was dust and dirt on top of the refrigerator. The bed in the first room needs to be replaced as it is worn out. Make sure when you stay here to always put the wooden bar in the sliding doors as it will not properly lock. Nice to see some new balcony furniture! We have been coming to Gulf Shores for over 20 years and I believe this is the best condo we have stayed in. The view was fantastic. We will definitely stay here again and recommend this property to anyone that wants a large balcony with a view with 2 nice bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Bender is wonderful when we call with a concern! Elevators not dependable on windy days--lots of windy days on the beach! This unit is spacious and we enjoyed our stay; however, the condo is in need of some TLC: fresh paint job--banged up walls and chipped paint throughout; one bedroom needs work on ceiling; annoyingly automatic loud fans in baths; slippery tubs, no screens on sliding doors, disgustingly rusty air return, draws don't work in one bedroom.

We really enjoyed our stay during October, 2012. Some of the outdoor furniture had been replaced and was very comfortable. The shower doors kept going off track and that could be a real issue if a young or elderly person had a problem with them, since they are made of glass and are very heavy. They might consider replacing them with a shower curtain, it would certainly be safer. The folks at Bender Realty were always very helpful, would definitely recommend them. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we would definitely go back.

We've stayed at this location for a number of years because it has great view from the balcony. They are making improvements to the unit but some of them are long overdue. The cleaning still is an issue simply because it does not get cleaned like it should. You can find dust build up on the walls and ceiling fans,dirt around the bathtub which could be cleaned with some bathroom cleaner and if they would look around the tops of the bathtub they would see sunflower seeds where someone decided to put there after they were done with them.The floors are just plain dirty.Still a good location to stay for the view.

the location (right on the beach), rooms, balcony (ocean view), spa and great living spaces were spectacular. it was great to have a washer and drier. both rooms and living room were very nicely decorated.

the floor and carpet were sticky and dirty. 3 outside furnitures were badly damaged. small chipped paint on walls.

we would definitely rent the property again if the price would stay the same! my family and i had a great time.

We absolutely loved our stay in 1403. We will be making this our permanent vacation condo. I cannot find one bad thing to say about it. Loved the location, the view, and we just felt like we were at home. We also love working through Bender Realty, they are so nice. I just referred a patient from our office to give them a call for reservations at The Royal Palms. Oh and also I left my luggage on the elevator (one piece) and the security office was fast to call and let me know they found it. I highly reccomend the condos and Bender Realty!!!!!

This unit is in a great locations. We have stay here twice love the views. Not sure I would pick this unit if it was not for the views from the balcony. Lots of mainteance issues and the carpets have seen better days. Unit need lots of mainteance updates
that were there 2 years ago. The unit is very roomy and watching the sun rise over the pier is beautiful. Best balcony in the area.

Once again, we had an amazing time during our week stay at Royal Palms! It was extra special this year cos we had our youngest grandchild 16 months) with us, and he was able to enjoy the experience. The condo was wonderful, but still needs a few specific
items in the kitchen. I usually bring a few things from home, just in case. Overall, we LOVED our stay! I look forward to another trip!

What an amazing condo with an amazing view. We were a little worried because some of the previous reviews had stated that it was not clean. They have changed cleaning companies and it was spotless. Bender Reality was great, fast and efficient. The condo is the last one before the state park so it was much less crowed on our end. If you are coming to cook, you will need to bring a few things like a cutting board.

Royal Palms had a perfect location. We watched fireworks from balcony and was outstanding. Only negative was 2nd bathroom the shower was dripping out, no pressure at all, but everything else was wonderful.

We will only use Bender from now on, we have used two other rental agencies and Bender is by far the BEST!!! Best customer service ever.

great view as always from the balcony.Unit needs to be cleaned!Floors were dirty,dust buildup in areas,dead bugs in all rooms and live spiders.unit needs some minor repairs to balcony chairs,bathroom drawers and the overhead fan in the bathrooms need a seperate on/off switch as they make too much noise.

It was great except for the washer not working and the screen in the second bedroom was not attached. good thing no bugs are out yet.

Nice for a short stay - lovely view and great deck furniture. Did not like the floor plan. Also some repairs (cabinet drawers) are needed, plus a better cleaning.

The location and amenities of the Royal Palms is wonderful. BUT the filth in the condo is another story. Our feet were dirty walking on the floors from day one. Bathrooms need to be scoured. The same old rug stains as last year. Furniture and lampshades in bedrooms were full of dust. We cleaned the place ourselves. The cost of cleaning keeps going up but the quality is going down, why? I love this unit and maybe someone will read this and make some changes for next year. I rented it again for the shrimp festival but will bring my cleaning supplies.

Wow! We were blessed with GREAT weather and a GREAT condo. The view has got to the best on Gulf Shores beaches. We were a little concerned regarding the oil spill, but the water and sand were fantastic! Can't wait to get back next year.

We enjoyed our stay overall, anyway we were not able to go in the gulf because of the oil. The condo was great, but I would suggest taking inventory of the kitchen. It is lacking several basic things, and also some repairs are a little overdue. The utensil drawer is completely broken in the kitchen and actually ended up falling on my daughter's foot. In the bathroom, also, the drawer pulls need repair. We love Gulf Shores, and love this condo, and had a great time!
