Description

Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Its unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, swimming pool and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests. No monthly rentals

This beautifully-appointed condo is situated on the street side of the property. While the property sits directly on the beach, and you can walk straight onto the sand from the parking lot, there is no view of the Gulf from this condo's front door. A simple walk down the communal balcony will take you to terrific views of the landscaped pool area and the fabulous Gulf waters!

Our family's holiday stay at the Sandpiper was great. The condo was exactly as described and fit our family of 4 (1 adult, 2 teenage girls, and an 11 year old son). The location was amazing. We did not have an ocean view from the 9B unit, but were so close to the beach that it didn’t matter. The condo was a short distance from a main tourist spot, but far enough to not be crowded. The pool looked very welcoming and has a nice ocean view, but the weather was very cool, so we did not swim. The property management team was great and texted all the information needed to get settled and even let us know if there was an option to extend the stay. We would absolutely book this location again!

We’ve been taking a huge family vacation since I was about 10. Our family has grown to around 50+ but we still take our annual beach trip every Labor Day weekend. We’ve been staying at the Sandpiper for at least the last 17 years. Bender Realty has been wonderful when we’ve had issues come up while staying at Sandpiper. The Sandpiper is an older low density condo which is one of the main reasons we love it. We can visit each other easily because our rooms aren’t so spread apart. There are some rooms that need some serious updating but the one we stayed in this year (and I rebooked immediately) Sandpiper 9B is wonderfully remodeled and extremely clean. Looking forward to next year!

Three beds for three bodies. The kitchen was properly apportioned, and the rooms were clean and clutter-free. We had easy access to the pool and the beach. We were allowed to enjoy ourselves around the pool without being hassled by overbearing security, and we enjoyed the folks who were staying around us.

Our family was visiting Gulf Shores for the first time and loved Sandpiper 9B. Check in was a breeze which was great after a long day of traveling from Wisconsin. Sandpiper 9B was the perfect size for out family of 5. The beds and furniture were so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for the week. 9B has been greatly maintained and updated with shutters and a great walk in shower in the back bedroom. My children spent endless hours in the pool and beach. Pool lounge cairs were always available and Sandpiper didn't have an overcrowded feel. Seconds walk to the beach with hoses to wash off when you come back, close to many restaurants and attractions. I would recommend this unit to anyone traveling to Gulf Shores.

We enjoyed our visit to the Sandpiper Comdo in Gulf Shores, Al very much. The other tenants are all so friendly, it’s a great little community. We stayed for 2 weeks in January. The unit itself was very clean, it felt like home with just a few exceptions. While aesthetically pleasing, the blue recliner was very uncomfortable. The tv needs updating, there were dark lines along too and bottom, and the ice maker would make about 1 cube a day.
On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable, my husband and I both slept really well every night we were there. We were able to cook full meals, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and serving dishes. The second bedroom is set up nicely.
Bender reality was a real pleasure to work with.
We will definitely be back.

We always stay at the Sandpiper. This was our first stay in 9B. The room was clean and had several very nice amenities. Really appreciated the baskets in master bath to keep our toiletries in. New pots and pans and comfortable furniture.

We always enjoy staying at the Sandpiper. 9B could use a new couch. Pretty well equipped.
We texted when we checked out a day early and were called to make sure we were leaving by 10 the next morning. Need to check the texts if you ask visitors to do it.

we had a great stay,except for some bad weather and pressure washing. We have been staying at the Sandpiper a long time and really like it. The last few years in 9B have been very good. They do a nice job of updating things throughout the condo. Hope the couch is next. The property is well maintained.

We had a wonderful time. The condo was nice. The only problem we had was that the last 3 nights we were there the guest upstairs In 9C had heavy feet all hours in the morning keeping us up all night. Needless to say next time we will rent on the third floor. Other than that our stay was great. We love the sandpiper.

I traveled with 6 other woman and stayed in 2 bedroom 2 bath. There was plenty of room. Unit was clean and properly stocked to fit and and all needs. Very convenient to restaurants and shopping. The beach was feet away and beautiful. We all decided this will be a yearly trip for us!

It just gets better every year ! Our second year for the winter months and we just love it. We are close to everything, theater, shopping, restaurants, Bodenhammer, where we swim laps three times a week, library, post office,all within 15 minutes of this place. The gulf is out our front door. Couldn't get any better. The condo is well furnished, comfy bed and living room furniture.
We will be coming back to the Sandpiper next year.

We had a great stay at the Sandpiper for 2 weeks.
The first week there were some very unruly guests with no concern for others. We really appreciate this being addressed.
Our other problem was with a squeaky dryer. someone came out very quickly,but failed to do anything to the dryer. They said they would report it. The sound was very annoying.
We love the Sandpipier and will continue to stay here.

This has been a awesome place to stay. The setting is fantastic, minutes from our room to the beach. Furnishings in the condo are welcoming, homey, comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The king bed is so comfy, you don't want to get up until you look out the window and see sunlight coming in and Palm trees swaying, you just have to get up and experience another day in paradise.
We are minutes from town, Bodenhammer facility, library, post office and more restaurants and store you could ever need.
The ladies at Bender vacation rentals are the nicest, efficient and fix any problems you might have promptly.
We feel in love with Gulf Shores and are coming back next year ??

When we opened the door we felt at home, or I should say the beach. Decorated and functional . The recliners are comfortable, the king bed is a dream. We are close to everything, the Bodenhammer , stores and lots of eateries . The complex is well taken care of and it takes us only a few minutes to be on the beach. We would love to come back again .

We stayed at the Sandpiper in condo 9B at the last part of September and had a wonderful time. We are from Louisville, Ky. and this is my fourth year. There are approx. 50 friends from Louisville that go this week and we all stay at the Sandpiper.
I truly enjoyed the experience and hope to have many more vacations at the Sandpiper.
If I had one negative it would be with the plumbing in the Master bath. It has very little water pressure which is something that needs to be addressed.

General condition of property was very good. The kitchen was a hodge podge of equipment: enough dinner plates to serve an army but nothing to cook their meal with. All beds were very comfortable and sleeper sofa was acceptable. Trash truck arrives at 5 am and the dumpster is literally below master bedroom window: Rise and shine!

We enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper very much. Our unit, 9B, was extremely nice and clean. Decor was updated and the furniture brand new (delivered that week). We were the farthest unit from the beach, but had a very large wrap-around deck that was nice. Our only complaint was that our unit must have been right above the dumpsters because every morning around 5:00 a.m. the trash truck came and woke us. Our other friends who were in several other units never heard the truck. No fault of the unit, but not a fun way to wake up each morning. The pool was nice. Small, but perfect for my little boys. And the beach so close! We had a great time!

The entire package would have been a 10, or in this case a 5, if the floors would have been swept/vacumed/mopped. They were very sandy and I had to vac to get grit off the floor. Otherwise super nice.

We have enjoyed staying at the Sandpiper each year for the past 20 years. 9B is kind of average. This unit has been somewhat updated but it is still very old. It could use a new mattress in the master.

I thought the bedrooms carpet was extremely worn and had a dirty visual look to them. The wifi service wasn't all that good.

We vacationed during spring break and found that the location was great and the facility was suitable. The pool was heated which came in handy during the cold temps so the kids could splash and play. The beach was a short walk and wonderful for shell collecting and we even saw a dolphin just off shore! We had one maintenance issue while staying and it was addressed and corrected within 30 minutes!

The only thing was the toilets could have been cleaner, especially the one in the guest bedroom it was dirty on the front outside part.

We bring our 2 & 4 yr old granddaughters each year to Gulf Shores. This has been by far the best rental we have stayed in! It was so spacious and the tv and dvd player in the girls room was sweet. With the beach only footsteps from the pool, it was a pleasure taking the girls to both each day. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Except for being slightly smaller than the pictures showed it, the unit was great. Gulf Shores is a great vacation with plenty to do and also plenty of time to just relax.
My only suggestion would be to include more dishwasher soup and some basic spices. At premium summer prices it seems silly to force renters to buy these staples.

My mom and I have been coming to Gulf Shores since 1997...Although we ventured away from the Sandpiper ONE YEAR, we immediately returned. And will never stay anywhere else. We have always found this location to be quiet, relaxing, peaceful, clean, and comfortable -- everything we want in a vacation getaway. Thanks to the ladies at Bender, who are always so helpful.
