Description

Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Its unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, swimming pool and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests.

The condo was great! It was very clean, updated and beautiful. We had a great time. The only inconvenience I had was that my neighbors sat outside their condo and smoked a lot right by my door so I smelled smoke every time I came and went. I don’t think that should be allowed on the balconies. I did not feel I could enjoy the great view I had because of this.

This property was very nice because it had been newly Renovated and we were the first to visit.

Since the property was just newly renovated, it had some areas that needed attention. Hopefully they were resolved before the next vacationers arrived.

On a positive note the furniture was comfortable and the view to the Gulf was very rewarding.

The owner and property management team were very responsive to our suggestions and tried to take care of the situations in a timely fashion.

This would be a nice property to visit and we would come back in the future because this complex is a perfect size and the neighbors were fun to be around.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandpiper. The management company was professional and the reservation and check-in process was very straightforward. The property itself is conveniently located to amenities and has direct access to the beach. The unit we rented was slightly dated, but clean and bright. Definitely a very relaxing vacation in an excellent locations. Will likely return to Sandpiper in the future.

7C has one of the best views. Furnishings are dated but bathroom wallpaper was removed and nicely painted and fresh. Refrigerator door is backwards so makes getting to items difficult. Still look forward to our stay every winter!!

We loved the Condo. It was our 2nd time staying at this unit. Only recommendation is that the Master Bathroom wall paper is peeling and has been torn off in some places. Did not detract from the stay. Bender is great to work with. Friendly and very knowledgeable. Their recommendations on restaurants were right on target!

We stayed Spring break and enjoyed the location and view, but it was the busiest we've ever seen at the pool and around the facilities. The condo need a few updates. The master bath has peeling wallpaper and need a new adjustable shower head for more pressure. The refrigerator is an older model, it would be nice to have a water/ice dispenser in the door. The living room recliner was broken and the chair and sofa needed a good cleaning. It was very dirty by the ceiling vents. It took 3 days for the heater on the pool to work. We enjoyed our week and will be back next year.

We have been renting a condo here at Sandpiper for over 20 years during Spring Break. Each year brings new and different adventures in Gulf Shores and the surrounding area but we can always rely on Bender Realty and its staff to provide the utmost professional service and high quality accommodations. When and if an issue arises during our stay,the staff quickly works diligently to resolve the issue so as our vacation can go on without a hitch. I highly recommend a stay at the Sandpiper because once you stay...you will understand why we continue to come back each year.

Bender's office gals are super fantastic. Needs are always addressed promptly. 7C could use some furnishing updates but the best view with afternoon sun. Many snowbird events with too many restaurants to try them all. The first thing we have when we arrive is an oyster poboy.

First time at Sandpiper. Room 7C was excellent. Great view, clean,comfortable,perfect for 4 beach bums. Pool looked nice but we hit the beach everyday. Coolest looking condo on the whole beach. Older unit but still in good shape. Nice layout. Only gripe we had was the shower pressure in the master bedroom, but no biggie. Other shower was fine. Nice kitchen, A/C worked great. Felt nice after a hot day on the beach. Beach and Gulf AWESOME. Nice breeze at night on the deck. Great value, Great room, Highly recommended. Bender made it super easy, Thanks Betty! Will return again to Sandpiper.

My family & I had a great time! I would only make 1 suggestion. There needs to be bathrooms located on the ground floor, for guest using the pool & beach. It was kind of a hassel going up to the 3rd floor to use our restroom. Other than that it was great!

We always love staying at the Sandpiper and have for years now. 7C was clean and the only complaints would be the mattresses were hard which made for a not so restful night sleep. But everything else was great. Bender's employees are always friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Sandpiper to anyone who wants a family friendly (not loud party people), clean, friendly atmosphere, and a view of the beautiful beach and Gulf of Mexico.

Sorry, I did the units backwards. I did not notice the title. So this is for 8C. The only issue we had was with the dryer. It took forever to dry our cloths. We ended up using 7C drier to help move things along. All else was great. Very nice unit!!!

The Sandpiper is an old building kept in good condition. The view is wonderful. As to our unit, who would put a glass table top in a vacation unit??? Furniture could be updated.

We decided late in summer to make trip to Gulf Shores, and finding a condo on such short notice was a challenge. The only one that had space for our dates was The Sandpiper. Our intent was to look at other properties in the area in anticipation of a full family trip in 2014. As it turns out, the Sandpiper fits our needs. It is right on beach, it is near restaurants, entertainment areas, and shopping. It is away from high-rise condos and the beachfront is great. It has covered parking for most everybody, it has a very nice pool and deck area, and it was quiet. This condo is probably 30+ years old, but is well maintained. Our particularly unit had older furniture and no flat screen TVs, but was very comfortable. We have already booked one of the beachfront units for next year.

Sandpiper is a great place to stay. Its courtyard and general layout are much more pleasant than the big, square condos you see in Gulf Shores. The pool is also very nice. I love the landscaping in the courtyard, and most condos have a good view.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Sandpiper. We love the facility; however, this apartment is not what we have experienced in the past. This was the week of the Boston bombing and we wanted to keep abreast of the events. TV in the living room did not have a cable feed and would not have one until after we left. Remotes in the bedrooms did not work due to the age of the TVs. The realty company maintenance man did eventually found one that was compatible for the master bedroom.
As usual, the staff at the office was excellent. We will be back next year.

The location of the apartment is very good in terms of it's location to the beach as well the view of the ocean from the apartment. The kitchen table & chairs are OK as is the kitchen area. The beds are good and the bathrooms are average at best. There are TWO MAJOR problems that need to be resolved:
1. The living room chairs are TERRIBLE and we are UNABLE to

1. The living room furniture was terrible and has been for the past four years. we sit on the kitchen chairs most of the time since the living room chairs are "backbreakers".
2. The TV'S need to be upgraded particularly the TV in the living room which is old and has a "below average" picture!

the unit had a very smoky smell. Housekeeping sprayed and it helped some but not completely. The ice maker was shut off when we first got there and it took the next three days to make a half of container of ice so we had to purchase ice. Bedding was not great but OK. Management was great to work with,they were accomodating. Access to the beach was great and a great view of the ocean. Liked the family atmosphere of the Sandpiper.

Place is nice and have stayed twice but absolutely hate that you have to buy toilet paper, papertowels, trashbags, dishwashing soap, coffee filters, s&p. NOTHING is left behind, not even a beach bucket or unbrella. Other places are much nicer to guests.

Need to put 12 towels in the units if 6 people are staying there. Kitchen was not very well equipped. Plates and bowls were sparse and all mismatched sizes. No pot holders or gloves to handle items from the oven. The burners on the stovetop did not fit into the protectors underneath, they were two different sizes. The disposal did not work and I fixed it by unclogging a rusty bottle cap that had obviously been there for some time. A plumber had to be called in to unclog the hall tub.

The down fall was 7c unit was very dirty upon arrival bedroom carpet master was very dirty,dryer took 2 hours to dry cloths,pots and pans not clean from previous tenants,3 c unit broken blinds,tv's in both bedrooms not working cable falling out of tv and wall.I would stay again pending units rented 6 c was just re-done very nice.

Our stay was very enjoyable and we like the location. The only draw back was the unit was not very clean, especially the kitchen. There were chips on top of the refrigerator and in the freezer. The cabinets need to be cleaned out as do the drawer since there is dirt and food "stuff" in them.

But other than the kitchen being a mess and the unit smelling due to being closed up everything was good.

I had a great time. My only observation is that the condo smells like smoke and is a nonsmoking place. It didn't actually bother me and my husband very much, but it might bother someone else a lot. Also, the furniture/decor was very nice but a little dark for a beach place. But I loved having a beach view from the living room, even if there wasn't one from the bedrooms. There was a stopper missing from the guest bathtub, which made a just a little awkward for giving my daughter baths, but again, not at all a big deal. The wood on the stairs and decks is not sanded and is spaced out, which means you have to avoid leaking sand to your downstairs neighbors - again a little awkward, but not a big deal. Also, since it's not sanded, you should wear shoes at all times to avoid splinters. It would be nice if it were well sanded so you could just go barefoot. The pool was wonderful - I appreciated that it was heated when the weather was cooler (although I wouldn't have minded if it had been heated longer - the heat was turned off a few days into our stay.) The pool was really nice and the people at the place (Bender Realty and other guests) were very friendly. The water is just gorgeous and there were tons of seagulls, pelicans, and sand crabs at night. Sandpiper is also not a high rise, which gives it a very family-friendly feel. In fact, the place is extremely family-friendly and I loved that. It is a special place and Gulf Shores is a wonderful place to spend a beach vacation.

The view of the water was beautiful. The Sand Piper itself was nice. The unit is low rise with not a lot of condos. The condo I stayed in wasn't in great shape. The carpet was very dirty, the couch was extremely uncomfortable (you felt like you falling in between the cushions into the sleeper), and the bed was held up with phonebooks.
