Description

Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Enjoy watching the waves roll in as you sit on the balcony. This unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, swimming pool and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests.

The unit is a blast from the past. The Wicker furniture is oversized and it would be a benefit to get a couple recliners and a smaller couch. The beds are comfortable. The toaster needs to be replaced. It would also be helpful to have some hooks inside the door for jackets and a small shelf for shoes. It can help to keep the sand out of the unit. Also hooks in the bathroom for towels.
Although all of items on display are nice, they take up valuable space. Also the carpet under the table is a bit of a hazard. The location is wonderful as you can open the shades and have a great view of the Gulf. I believe blinds might be a better option as I felt like I was in a fishbowl when they were opened. Other units have a refrigerator with water and ice options on the exterior, that also could be updated. These are just my suggestions. Thank you.

The unit is in a good location and is a wonderful place for a family vacation as you can see family members out on their decks and at the pool and beach. The unit could use a little updating such as the carpet into the main bedroom.

We had to take the bottom crisper out to shut our refrigerator door. Took a long time to cool off our food and drinks. Master bedroom in need of a new mattress. Overall satisfied with room. Just needs a little updating on the bed linens too

Sandpiper 6B is a great condo. Right on the beach! The whole condo has a family friendly atmosphere. Since it only has 3 floors - no waiting on elevators and not as crowded. There was even an evening beach party one night for a birthday party - had a DJ on the beach and everyone brought chairs and listened to great music.

The condo was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. It could use a few more things in the kitchen - plates, bowls, etc. But we made do with what we had. One downside is that it did not have any “extras” like other condos we have rented. For example - there were no beach chairs, boogie boards, or beach toys. So be prepared to bring your own or use the beach service.

Overall, we had a great and relaxing week and enjoyed our time there.

This is our eighth year at the Sandpiper but our first in Unit 6B. The complex is managed by Bender Realty. Their staff is friendly and very responsive to issues brought to their attention. The Sandpiper Condominiums have had some issues. There is only an outdoor swimming pool, but it is not heated in the winter months. This year the pool has been drained and the entire pool deck closed so it could be prepared for painting. This pool was repainted just a couple of years ago. Though unable to swim, we can't even sit or congregate in the sun on the deck. This year the complex was having the stones in the covered parking areas removed and replaced. Half the parking was lost for a couple of weeks while this work was underway. Our stay in Unit 6B has been satisfactory. There is a queen bed in the master and two double beds in the second bedroom. Both bathrooms have tubs you must step over to enter, and neither has safety bars to assist in avoiding falling. The bedrooms are identically carpeted, but the master carpeting is very worn and dirty. The unit is not as well equipped with day-to-day necessities as other units we've stayed in at this complex. Minimal number of bowls and cooking utensils. Only one dish towel, but no dish cloths for washing. There was a broom, but no dustpan, mop or bucket. We got a mop from the management company but bought a bucket and dustpan. We also purchased more dish towels and bowls for our use. The Bender-provided bed linens included king-sized sheets and blankets for the queen bed. This sometimes created a tripping hazard, so we purchased queen sized linens and comforter to use during our stay. The microwave oven was broken, but promptly replaced by Bender management. One dining chair leg found broken, but again repaired by Bender. Living room sofa & matching armchairs have seats that sag to the point where it's hard on your flesh. Will see if another unit is available for next year before committing to rebooking 6B.

As always, very enjoyable experience at the Sandpiper.Building exterior maintenance was going on during my stay. It caused only minor inconvenience & it's work that has to be done. I'll see you again next year

We stayed in 6B with our family of 5. It was very nice and had a lot of j inquest touches - closet or beach gear (umbrella, boogie boards, beach ball, etc) and also had nice beds. Only complaint was the internet, but we weren’t there long enough to even notice very much!

Room was good. Some things could be cleaned better Floor still had a lot sand and trash under beds/table in room, stove was very dirty and burnt inside on bottom. I fixed a couple drawers that the knobs fell off in kitchen Scissors are broke in kitchen so they were hard to use Those were minor things. Overall was good.

The condo is beautifully appointed with all of the basic amenities you would hope to find. We enjoyed the views of the beach from the deck. While we didn’t spend all that much time indoors, the furniture was comfortable and clean. The bed in the master bedroom felt small—likely not a queen-sized bed. Overall, we would choose this unit again!

The condo was beautiful and had fantastic furniture, beds, and linens. There was a water leak in the ceiling while we were there. The site manager came out immediately and also provided a new towel set to replace the ones we used for the leak.

The complex is right on the beach and provides great parking on the bottom level.

The centrally located pool offers a great meeting place for all the "neighbors" in the complex.

The neighbors were a little loud the last day to sit on the front porch but inside the condo it was pleasantly quiet.

We have been staying at the sandpiper for 20 years now. This is a great unit and is located in the perfect spot. Overlooks the pool and you can see the beach from the deck. Decorated very well and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. There is a beautiful set of shutters on the front door that do need a better magnet bc they won’t stay shut, so they fly open whenever you open the door. That’s the only thing that could be fixed in this entire unit. We love it and would stay here again next year.

My wife and I stayed two months in this unit in January and February (2020). The unit had high end furnishings (not our taste) throughout. Everything in the condo was neat and clean. There were zero signs of wear and tear. Additionally, the unit was 200 ft from the gulf waters! The view from our deck was absolutely wonderful! The care and maintenance of this complex is superb, from daily pool cleaning to power washing the parking lot. Wonderful place !
