Each summer, the Pensacola Beach Air Show draws thousands of spectators to the Gulf Coast for several days of aviation demonstrations over the water. Held just east of Gulf Shores, the event is an easy drive for visitors staying along Alabama’s beaches and offers one of the most spectacular air shows in the region. The show is best known for its headlining performance by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the Navy’s elite flight demonstration squadron based in nearby Pensacola. Throughout the week, practice flights and rehearsal demonstrations build up to the official Saturday show, when military and civilian performers take to the skies above the Gulf for a high-energy display of precision flying, aerobatics, and historic aircraft. As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, this is one year you certainly won't want to miss!
