Located on the eastern edge of Dauphin Island, the Dauphin Island Sea Lab is an educational facility for marine research. The Sea Lab is also host to events, the Estuarium, May's Cafe, and more.
The Dauphin Island Sea Lab is home to the public Estuarium, which features displays of the four key habitats of coastal Alabama: Mobile Tensaw River Delta, Mobile Bay, the Barrier Islands, and the Northern Gulf of Mexico. Featuring 31 aquariums with more than 100 species, the Estuarium is the perfect place to go and learn about the local flora and fauna of the Alabama Gulf Coast.
The onsite, newly renovated May's Cafe is the perfect place to grab a quick bite. May's Cafe has a fresh salad bar, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
