Far enough away from the commercial area but less than 5 minute drive to plenty of good restraints.Beach was very nice
We were very happy again this year with the Sandpiper. The view was great. The pier is a longer walk than it appears! :)Blonde Johns was a great,congenial place to rent bikes. Lulu's food was yummy for dinner and wonderful leftover for next day. We had fun at the Pirate's Island Golf and filled to the top with dinner at Lambert's with enough for the next day. The only bad thing we have to say is the dryer did not function properly and would take FOREVER to dry a load of clothes. Overall our stay was terrific.

This was our first year staying at the Sandpiper...and we loved it. We plan on visiting this same unit again!
We have stayed at the Sand Piper about ten times in the past fiteen years, This year we brought along our two grandchldren ages five and nine. They had the greastest time ever and we are looking forward to returning again each year for their special stay at the beach. We all enjoyed the pool, long walks on the beach, playtime in the sand and everyone staying at the Sand Piper made us feel like we were all one big family. It was very enjoyable and are looking forward to our next vacation there.
This was our 3rd year in a row staying at Sandpiper in room 8C. Everything was wonderful. The room was very clean. The only complaint I had was the mattresses were very hard(still). Other than that we had a great time and will be back again next year for our forth Memorial Day weekend.
We loved our vacation. There were only a few things I would change, the dryer did not work very well, and the coffee maker did not work very well. We had a wonderful time and we are planing to come back next year. Can't wait!!!!
wonderful to see the staff again. only issue w/ unit was beds were very hard, and LR furniture uncomfortable. also temp hard to regulate. but great trip!
The ceiling fans were very very dirty. We did not cut them on for all of the dust. It would have been nice to have an extra TV in one of the bedrooms. We had teenagers on the trip. Other than that we loved the unit, the ocean view, and the Sandpiper. I stayed at the Sandpiper last year, loved it so much I came back this year, and will come back again!!!
We loved the Sandpiper. The location was great. Loved the size of the condo - only 48 units and 3 floors (small - so there wasn't a ton of people there). As for the room - it was very spacious - beds were comfortable - it was great! Also loved the swing on our balcony. Will definitley return! Loved it!

My husband and I decided to come to the Sandpiper for our honeymoon. I had been to the property before, but he hadn't and is now hooked! We both enjoyed ourselves so much and didn't want to leave! Thank you so much for making our honeymoon everything that we hoped for!
Ice maker was broken, same as last stay.Light above shower was blown.Overall nice stay.
We will be returnung July 2008.
We enjoy the beach, nearby golf courses, shopping at the outlet, and great seafood. Very nice, relaxing vacation at an affordable price.
We stayed at the Sandpiper from January 1 thru the third week in March, 2007. Our condo was beach front and was everything we had hoped for. The view was spectacular, especially from our private deck off the master bedroom. The people were friendly and fun, especially the "happy hour" group! We wish the pool would have been heated, though. We would recommend the Sandpiper to friends.
The Sandpiper is the perfect place to have several families gather to enjoy a vacation. The set up is perfect to enjoy everyones company on the porch, beach, and in the rooms.We had a wonderful time!
"Extra" charges prevent me from renting on long (4 day) rentals...much cheaper to rent from hotel and FREE clean up and parking!
we have come to gulf shores for family vacations for 8 years and have used bender reality every year and our very pleased with them. for the last 4 years we've stayed at sandpiper usually rent 5 or 6 units the week we are there and have always enjoyed it, but this year i was disappointed in the drinking that was allowed at the was'nt a place for younger children.
We've stayed @ Sandpiper many times over the past 10 years. We love the location, the fact that it is very family oriented, quiet at late night. The quality of 8C seems to be deteriorating. I noticed it is for sale, perhaps the owners have lost interest, but several things need to be addressed -- the kitchen faucet drips, the range is dirty and in poor condition. The carpeting in the living area is stained and needs to be replaced, water pressure in both showers is terrible
I was disappointed with a couple of things.1. The hall bathroom needs work. The shower had NO water pressure and the tub was not clean. The toilet was not functioning properly(we called and never got an answer if they actually came out and looked at it). 2. The beds need to be replaced, they have seen better days.3. The carpet in the living room was dirty.4. The condo was not cleaned--we found a pair of dirty socks in one of the bedrooms and a pair of dirty panties in the washing machine.5. Someone came in and measured the refrigerator saying the owner was boing to replace it. They should replace the washer/dryer, it washed OK, but took forever to dry. 6. The view was great except when people would put there chairs in front of the living room window(evening) and hang out in front of our window listening to music until 11 pm.
