The condo was in great condition and there was plenty of room for the five of us who stayed. It was in a great location from shops and restaurants. The beach was a few steps away and the pool was very nice. I would recommend this condo to families and groups of friends seeking a nice relaxing vacation.
We loved our rental unit at Seacrest on beautiful Gulf Shores beach. It was beautifully decorated and with lots of little extras. Bender Realty was also MOST helpful when we decided we just couldn't go home as originally planned.
Enjoyed our stay!
The property we stayed in had serveral problems. The ice maker did not work, refrigerator did not properly defrost, dish washer was imporperly installed and therefore hard to use, the paint job in the kitchen was VERY poor -didn't even pull the stove out to paint behind it. There were many spots that were not well cleaned - window sills, behind night stands. We have stayed at Sea Crest many time - this was by far the least appropriately maintained unit. The Sea Crest common areas were however VERY clean and well maintained.
bought some cleaning supplies. Food was on the trash can, fire crackers, wads of hair on the floor, items of swimming plugs on the TV stand. the mop was so dirty It wasn't worth using itself. the trash truck every morning under our window woke us up daily, very noisy. We did like the beach view and being right on the beach for views and close proximatity. the pool was nice to have due to jelly fish.
Stove parts had been disconnected prior to arrival, didn't know;master bath very small;no useable deck furniture;dryer filter vent had not been cleaned in quite awhile;objects found in sleeper sofa-obviously not picked up;should have better outdoor grilling facilities;
Since we were beachfront I expected more comfortable outdoor furniture. Two of the plastic chairs were broken. Overall we thought the condo was nice. The hall bunks were great for additional sleeping area.
I recently had made reservations to stay in Unit 601 at Seacrest. I have stayed in many of the units at Seacrest over the past 10 years I have been coming to Gulf Shores. I regret to say that Unit 601 is one unit I would never recommend to anyone.The furnishings in the unit were very worn and needed to be replaced. The mattresses were very cheap and did not even have mattress pads on them.The kitchen area needed a number of repairs. The icemaker did not work, the range was rusted, the vent a hood was rusted, the coffeemaker was full of mildew, and none of the hardware on the kitchen cabinets matched. The dishes were cheap and tacky.The unit badly needed to be repained. The walls were badly banged up and dirty from the minute you entered the condo. The closet doors in the master bedroom fell off in my hand when I tried to open them. The draperies in the entire unit were cheap and flimsy.The entire unit was in need of a good cleaning. The bathtubs were dirty, the floors were dirty, and the kitchen was in desperate need of a good scrubbing. I could not believe that the owner thought that they could charge top price for that unit. People who have not been to Gulf Shores before may think that Unit is up to par. Belive me, it is NOT.I did immediately complain to the realty company, Bender Realty. Fortunately the folks who work there were highly professional and they worked very hard to get me into another unit as quicly as they could. I so appreciate their concern and their efforts on my behalf. They worked very hard to turn my nightmare into an enjoyable visit. By the way, I did review the pictures of the Unit on the internet prior to reserving the Unit. Pictures of units on the internet are not always reliable. Unit 601 did look like the pictures (same wall coloring and same furniture) but those pictures must have been taken immediately after the Unit was first decorated!
