I've stayed at plenty of locations along the Gulf Coast. This location is one of my favorites. A condo with not too many rooms so the beach isn't overcrowded. A pool on the beach side...a plus for the afternoon. The best of all: no tar balls! We stayed in the water for about an hour and didn't smell oil or see anything unusual.
I felt slightly uncomfortable not having a downstairs office to go to if I needed something, especially if there had been an emergency, but I understand why there wasn't one...these condos are privately owned.
This condo was in a great location, close to everything. It is a modest building and room, nothing fancy, but for a short stay at the beach, it was perfect for us. It has all of the essentials and was very clean. There was maintenance going on at the time, so that was a little disappointing, but overall everything was very nice. Would definately stay there again.
A convenient location, decorated nicely, with a nice deck facing the Gulf. The interior needed a fresh paint job, the bedroom was always chilly, but otherwise the condo was clean, the furniture was comfortable, it was a nice Beach condo. I know other people would enjoy it also.
We loved this condo. It was very inexpensive, but it was nice and very clean.
We have stayed at this property several times. We love the location and the size of the facility. Although everything was in working order, it's obvious that there are some maintenance issues that should be taken care of. The elevator seems really old, there is a musty smell in the small elevator room on the ground level. Touch up paint would be nice too. Inside the condo, a nice, bright coat of paint is needed with some newer furnishings. The can opener did not work at all. These are just suggestions. We will still stay there again.
The balcony furniture needs a major upgrade! Only 3 chairs and one is cracked. Needs a trash can in the pool area.Nice condo and in a great setting.
This was a very nice place. Close to where we wanted to be and I would request this again. The only thing I would encourage you all to do is to check to carpeting in the bedrooms, looks like a major flood happened, Tile throughout might be better. Nancy W.
We are repeat guests at Clearwater and we have enjoyed every stay.
Great place for a family vacation. We felt very safe and comfortable. Wonderful place to get away from it all. You are at the beach but you don't have all the trafic and little beach shops right in your face to deal with and not the usual "young crowd". We are already saving to come back agian. The condo was wonderful, we were all together but you had enough space to have a little breathing room. The condo was well supplied with all you need except food. I would encourage anyone to come to Gulf Shores for a vacation. Thanks for all the wonderful memories.
This was a wonderful place. My daughter stayed in the same condo during spring vacation with her family in 2006 and when it was recommended to me for summer 2007, I took her up on her recommendation. Was so glad I did.
We have stayed in this condo in the past. We love the pool and 6D. The pool was ruined after the hurricane came through and we sure missed it the last two days of our stay. The elevator was also down for a couple of days and climbing 6 flights of stairs is not fun. Overall the stay was great.
Good location, staff at Bender is the main reason we stay here. They are wonderful to work with. We will probably upgrade to a different place but have no problem here. There are some amenities we would like that this location does not have. We have stayed here two times and have had a good time on both occasions.
We loved this condo simply because there are not very many units so it wasn't very crowded. It was very clean and well kept, however, our particular unit needed some updating. Although it was extremely clean, it was a little out-dated for this day and time.
We try to come at least once a year. It is a very nice family place with nice beaches and nice resturants. We hope to be back again this year.
In the summer of 2007, we stayed at the clearwater. It is a very nice condo with a great location. It is small and very comfortable. There are not many units, so it is not crowded at all. We would definitely stay here again.
