  My husband and I enjoyed staying 5 days in the Westwind 802 for our 10 year anniversary and the Annual Shrimp Fest. It had a great view of the beach, dolphins and other sea animals. Beaches were clean and people friendly. The condo was a perfect size for us, and most importantly of all it was clean, relaxing and quiet. We plan on returning with our children and friends next year. Thank you Bender Realty for a great condo.

  My husband and I stayed at Westwind for our 10th Anniversary. We were pleased with the condo. It is not as fancy as others(furniture and carpet is a bit older) but had everything we needed and was very affordable. Amazing view from the balcony, all appliances worked great, and the bed was comfy! The only compliants we had was some plugs were broken and the bedroom window needed a heavier blind/curtian on it, as the light at night coming through was a bit aggrevating! However we enjoyed Gulf Shores so much and plan to come back! We will more than likely stay at Westwind again.

  Our first time in Gulf Shores. Beautiful
  beach and location. All the folks at Bender Realty were a joy to deal with. Went the first week in August 2011; but will wait until later in the year next time. We have five grandchildren, but decided to go alone for our anniversary, WILL wait for school to start next time.

  The Building seemed to be run down the Elevator was old, No air in the A/C very uncomfortable. Baseboards and Floors all seemed dirty. I loved the location to the Beach and everything else. But for the condition it was a bit pricy..

  We had an incredible time, we have been to Gulf Shores many times but this was the fist time without kids. The unit was perfect however it appeared the cleaning crew did not do a very good job of cleaning the bathroom. Trash on the floor and shower curtain had a good deal of mildew. I also wanted to point out that Barbara, who booked our unit at Bender, was incredible! Took her time to find the best unit always asking what our needs were and made sure that we had everything we needed. Incredible Customer Service, what an asset you have on your team! Great job Barbara!!!

  I took a short trip with my sons at the end of July. It was one of the most enjoyable trps we've taken. The beaches were beautiful as usual.We saw no sign of oil on the beaches or in the water. I only wish we could have stayed longer

  This is the 3rd time I have stayed at West Wind - different unit this time - but have been happy each time. The only big negatives was that the floors were dirty (not to the eye) - but feet turned black quickly showing the dirt. The refrigerator also was dirty - so that had to be cleaned before putting our food in it. The last negative - and not blaming anyone for this - was we got Spring Break kids below us and while they were respectful to us directly, there was broken bottles and beer spilled in the elevator and someone got sick right outside the elevator as well. Kind of gross.... Otherwise - we had a great time and will plan on returning

  We loved the condo at west wind. it's only a one bedroom but perfect for a couple needing a getaway!
  We will be back next year for hopefully a longer stay; 5 days not long enough. The beach was beautiful and as always, the nicest people.

  We found the location and beach view to be wonderful. The room accomdated my wife and I along with our 2 small children greatly. We were however suprised to find the condo as what I would call as moderately clean rather than exceptionally clean as has been the case in previous stays over the years. The kitchen accessories lacked and need to be updated (i.e. knives wouldn't cut fruit or veggies, etc.) The bed mattresses need to be replaced in the master as they were soft and unsupporting. The top cover bubbled up in the middle when laying on either side. Bender Realty provided wonderful, courteous service. We will continue to rent from them. I do a ton of reasearch before each of my stays and am quite certain they are always the best value.

  The only thing that we didn't like is that while we were there they bug guy came to our door and knocked... i was getting dressed and didn't answere the door in time so he just let himself in. He went ahead and sprayed just a couple walls in the condo and i didn't even think it was necessary since he hardly sprayed anything...and we had a two year old and a three year old with us and i didn't think he should have come in there while we where there. I just feel that while there is someone renting the condo he shouldn't come in there. I wouldn't feel right if we had been down on the beach and all our personal belongings where there for him to go through as he pleased. Other than that we had a wonderful time and we hope to come back next year.

  The only improvements that is needed is new balcony light cover.
  It was much appreciated that the coffee maker was replaced within 30 min after our arrival.
  There is no scrub brush for the dishes nor a large skillet. Only 1 skillet is there, which is considered a sm-med size
  Besides the very few things listed that is needed for improvement,we will definetly return to #802 someday and refer this unit to our family and friends.
  The staff at Bender Realty were very professional and courteous.

  We visit the gulf every year,and rent through an individual, this year we wasn't ready to go home so we rented with Bender for our last 3 nights. The condo was great. the only problem we had was the elevator kept locking up and 8 flights of stairs with a 7mo old on you hip is a lot of steps!!!! Over all the beach and our stay was great!
