  My family & I vacation at Gulf Shores each year & each year we stay at the Sandpiper Complex & book our reservations with Bender Realty. This year we stayed in Condo 16A and could not have been more pleased. The condo was EXCELLENT! As with every visit to the Sandpiper the condo was clean, the grounds was well maintained, the pool was well kept, the grill area had all the supplies & were clean and the overall appearance was great. Condo 16A was beautifully furnished & well taken care of. The view of ocean from the livingroom/kitchen was breath taking. The staff at Bender Realty is ALWAYS friendly, helpful & professional. Each time we arrive we feel like we've come "home". The amazing staff, accomidations & atmosphere of Bender, Sandpiper & beautiful "island" of Gulf Shores keeps us looking forward to our next visit & a little sad when we have to leave this paradise and return to reality. A huge THANK YOU to Bender Realty, the owners of 16A & the wonderful city of Gulf Shores for amazing vacations year after year.

  only complaints--the light did not work on outside balcony; maybe the bulb was blown. The door going from bedroom to balcony was very hard to lock and unlock. Biting flies were at the pool.

  This is the 2nd year we visit the Sandpiper and it's the most kid friendly condo I know of. 16A is a great unit because of it's close proximity to the pool and the beach... I love the swing on the beach balcony! The only thing I was disappointed about in the unit was the very small TV (smaller than my computer monitor) in the living room and the lack of a TV in one of the bedrooms!

  Had a great time, do every year. Condo wasn't as clean as should be when have to pay cleaning fee. Tub was dirty, shower curtain liners were dirty, fridge (sticky). Floors did not look like they had even been swept.

• We started off bad b/c our fishing poles were stolen Saturday night. We don't like the master bed b/c the sheet come out all the time, happened last year too! Really needs to have a bigger TV in the living room.

  This is the second year we have stayed at the Sandpiper. This year was even better than the last. Much of that had to do with the very helpful staff at Bender. They helped my mother find a beach capable wheel chair for my father and told us about several good places for the family to go and have some fun. We will be back next year for sure.

  The accomodation was very nice. The pool was too small for the number of rooms. We would stay there again. One thing we were upset about. We left 2 little girls dresses and called back after we were about 100 miles toward home. I know the dresses were found by the cleaning crew but were not turned in. We left a camera at one of the Phoneix hotels a couple of years ago and it was returned to us. I would expect your service to be the same. I am dissapointed that it was not.

• I really don't know if the condo was "dirty" or not, but it just felt that way. My family stayed in 14A and 15A. There condos were MUCH nicer. We stilled absolutely loved our stay. It would also be nice if there was more insolation between condos

• The master bath, bathroom smelled like pee, I'm not sure if it was moped or if it was on the rug. Also, when we arrived I found out the dishwasher was broke. If you put the dish soap in, the compartment was broke.

  This was our 15th year at Sandpiper for Spring Break. It is disappointing...thru the years as you increase your rates, the amount of visitors have declined. A few years ago when you charged $500=$700 for a week at Sandpiper, we had to researve 1 year in advance or there were no rooms available...Gulf Shores was packed and it was lots of fun. Now that you charge $1200 for a one week stay, it is similar to better locations in Florida were the weather is more predictable. We suggest you go back to reasonable prices to fill the town and condos to keep Spring Break affordable and fun. This year was boring and expensive without any value other than sitting in an old condo with a small tv when we had 4 days of rain. Unless your prices drop...we won't be back. Its just not worth spending as much as we do to go to Gulf Shores when I could have better weather and activities and accommodations for a similar price in various spots in Florida.

  We love coming to Sandpiper and have for the past 12 years.
  The condo we were in this year was not as nice as most we have stayed needed some maintenance and attention. It needed a good cleaning. It simply did not meet the standards we have grown accustomed to at the Sandpiper.
  We will be returning to Sandpiper, but will perhaps select another unit.

  The Sandpiper is like the old Gulf Shores before the high rises. It's comfortable but not too fancy. Not really quiet and serene but not as busy as some areas. There is always a lot of activity going on for the kids and teens. We loved it!

  My family has stayed here multiple times and have always been very pleased. We are again staying this June '08. The layout of the complex allows us to feel very safe and children friendly. My older grandchildren have made some friends from previous stays. A few more grills might be the only suggestion I would like to make, everyone loves to cook out.   The unit that we reserved was everything we could have hoped for. The deck was an additional pleasure for both day and evening with the swing and the view. The decor was up to date and the furnishings in good shape. It is truly a family establishment. Even though we did not use the swimming pool, if I had small children, it would be an advantage the way the the pool is located in middle providing a view from all of the rooms. I would definitely recommend this location.
