The view from the balcony every morning was spectacular. Sitting on the balcony swing with a cup of coffees gave us views of the dolphins swimming in the gulf. We have been coming to Sand Piper for about 6 years now and Bender has never let us down. All
of the decking has been replaced and that was a nice surprise. It was a quiet and great week for us. Thank You!

I have stayed in this unit several times and enjoy the balcony view. However the decor is dated and the room really needs a new look. I have seen several other units that are up to date and don't have the "80's" look. I think this would help a lot for the owners to revamp.

We have enjoyed Gulf Shores, Sandpiper, for many many years. The oil spill was not going to derail our trip this year. There was some tar balls on the beach and a few wet clumps. We still ejoyed ourselves and will be back next year.

the only thing that was missing from our condo was outdoor patio furniture in the front and back and a cushion would have been nice on the porch swing. We had an awesome vacation otherwise.

Enjoyed our stay very much. We have stayed at the SP many times before. In fact we stayed at this same unit on our first visit in Sept.'89.
Enjoyed the stay this year. First time in condo 8A. Only negative was the counter over the toilet. I'm glad I'm thin.

We really enjoyed our week in 8A at the Sandpiper. This was the first time we booked our week after the prime time season. It was unbelievable. The weather was fantastic, the water was clear and no jellyfish. The only suggestion I have is to replace the coffee maker with one that is programable & pause & serve. Other than that, It don't get any better!

Great property...beautiful ocean and beach view from the room and the porch swing. Would be more convenient if they would designate parking spaces to units...last one in was out of luck! Also, instructions for using the DVD player would be helpful!

kitchen equipment, for example coffee maker, blender and baking pans, were less than satisfactory and the air ducts gave off a mildewy smell. Also, the bathtubs were not real clean; there was mildew around soapdish and fixtures and hair in the drain. A wonderful place to vacation despite these minor irritations.

We really loved our unit 8A. We love the way Sandpiper is set up. I would like to see a permanent fix with the elevator though. The last 2 years there have been people stuck in it.

Had a good time with daughter's family and grandkids. A kiddie pool would of made it a 5 star, but otherwise very nice family condo on the beach. Beds were a little uncomfortable, but lots of couch and sitting areas in family room. This is probably the best of the room locations in the building, I'd try for it next time.

Hi, I have always loved the sandpiper. I have been coming there as often as I can since 1990 or 91ish. I have even brought a 2nd generation with me this year. (smiling). i was a bit hesitant to write this because I love the people and the piper so much this is hard for me to write. but here it goes. I wish the pool was working. I know the weather was really windy but nobody from the office offered us a chance to use a pool even once at a different location..we were tld every day that it would be up and warm the next day. the room had a beautiful view but the person staying there before us used illegal drugs and we found it under one of the leather rocking/recliner chairs. If I was a drug person i could have sold what we threw away in the garbage for several hundred dollars. So you can see why it took me awhile to write this. it isn't a very pleasnt letter to write to a place i have considered my little piece of heaven on earth. I Hope that next time we come which we were thinking about this summer or fall depending on my health of course, that maybe the couple of things would be taken care of. I really do love gulf shores but the sandpiper like i said is my piece of heaven on earth. I hope you have a beautiful summer and hope to see everyone again soon. Catherine
